Seaside home, a few hundred yards from lovely beaches. Enjoy your private deck with a view of the sea and your ecohome with everything you need for simple living.
Lucienda is one of eight vacation home villas on Northside Valley estate at the west end of St. Croix near Frederiksted. Our homes harmoniously provide privacy as they have at least 40 feet of treed landscaping between each home. Stargaze at night, pick organic fruit by day and stroll to nearby beaches whenever the mood strikes you.
Shade trees, screened windows and ceiling fans keep the villa cool. We provide renewable resources to do our part for the enviornment - this includes solar/wind power, rain water and trees to freshen the air. We allow our guests to participate in eco-living by recycling, composting and conserving resources.
Lucienda is a 2-bedroom, one bathroom ecohome with an additional outdoor shower. One bedroom holds a king-size bed that can be pushed apart into twins. The other beroom has a queen-sized bed.
Our fond mispronunciation â âNo Sad Valleyâ â reflects the true nature of our estate. Escape to Simple Living to see how the Caribbean life-style combined with eco-friendliness makes your vacation relaxing and fulfilling.

Born and raised on St. Croix, I have experience with all the treasures there are to see on the island. Our eco-friendly emphasis means that the treasures you see will be here the next time you visit. I was also voted the greenest person in the western suburbs of Chicago in 2007.

Two and a half miles from the small 18th century town of Frederiksted, St. Croix and a few minutes walk from several beaches, our estate gives access to both the town and the quiet countryside.
You can also explore more beaches by stopping along the coast between Northside Valley and Frederiksted or take a self-guided tour at Mount Washington, an 18th century estate just a few minutes drive from the property.

Northside Valley offers Caribbean island vacations that minimize the impact of human habitation on the surrounding environment. Our villas â built with native materials â keep you cool simply with white roofs, high ceilings, wide windows, and the shade from native trees. They use efficient gas stoves for cooking and water heaters powered by solar panels. Household waste water runs through a septic system that degrades waste naturally.
We also have a number of other eco-friendly practices in place at Northside Valley that give guests an opportunity to participate in preserving our island resources.
