It's one of Athens' hippest and most charming areasâthink leafy, pedestrian-friendly streets lined with cozy cafes, stylish bars, and fantastic local restaurants, all with a relaxed, "jungle-in-the-city" vibe from the overhanging trees and palms.
You're literally steps away from incredible spots like the Acropolis and Acropolis Museum (just a 10-15 minute walk), Filopappou Hill for stunning sunset views over the city, and great metro access for exploring further. It's lively and full of local energy (great for evening drinks or people-watching), but still feels safe, residential, and less overwhelmingly touristy than Plakaâmany guests say it feels like living like a true Athenian!
Plus, coming back to unwind in the jacuzzi after a day of sightseeing is the ultimate relaxation. đ
