Free standing studio situated in a beautiful and sunny organic garden filled with native plants. There is a small table and chairs just outside the unit where you can enjoy your tea or coffee in the morning.

Unit has a separate eat-in kitchen with a gas stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, electric kettle plus all the usual kitchen stuff.

The unit has been freshly painted with new floors installed and is clean with lots of charm and all the good feels!

Bathroom has a tub and an over-the-tub shower.

Lots of street parking available, usually right outside property or very close.

Nice quiet street (see photo) with many friendly neighbors often out walking their dogs.

Access to laundry in main house is available for your convenience. Bed linens and towels are provided.

Property is just 3 miles away from San Leandro Kaiser hospital and 2 miles from San Leandro hospital.

San Leandro Bart station is just 1 mile away.

The owner lives in the main house and is a beekeeper with an apiary at the far rear of the property (you will never know they are there, unless you want to join us for a visit) which means you'll get a jar of delicious raw honey on arrival!

There's also a chicken coop at the rear of property (well away from your space) and a container of half a dozen delicious eggs will be left out for you once a week.
There are 3 small dogs and 1 cat who live in the main house and are occasionally out in the garden. So although we obviously love animals, we cannot have any other dogs staying here. Indoor only cats considered with an additional deposit.

As a former day sleeper myself I think this unit would not be good for a night shift person as I would not want to ever disturb your rest when in the yard.

San Leandro is a small city that's centrally located in the Bay Area - just a 15 min drive to downtown Oakland, a 10 min drive to Alameda (surfing and kite surfing!) and a 25 min drive to San Francisco. If you want to enjoy a day at the beach and eat ice-cream while walking along the boardwalk, the famous Santa Cruz beach town is about an hour’s drive south.

There are two farmers markets a week (one of which is open year-round), a public library, a few good cool restaurants along with some more budget friendly options. A shopping mall with a Target, Macys, Nordstrom Rack and Old Navy is 3 miles away. We are 1.5 miles from Starbucks coffee and 1 mile from Pete's, as well as a 10 minute walk to As Kneaded Bakery.

There's a Fitness 19 gym just 1/2 mile away, a 24 hour Fitness gym, a Crossfit gym, Orangetheory gym and a Planet Fitness all under 3 miles away. There's also a fancy swimming/tennis/pickleball club that's 3 miles away (pricey but may be worth it to you if you use it a lot).

The TV has Netflix and Max included as well as HDMI cable for streaming your favorite channels via your laptop.
