Hello Kathryn, I’m sorry to hear about the challenges you faced with the Vrbo app and your rental experience—it sounds incredibly frustrating. It’s unacceptable that the app and website didn’t log your booking, leaving you without access to your reservation details, including the door code and WiFi information. The fact that you had to spend an hour on the phone to resolve this adds to the frustration. Unfortunately, Vrbo requires all hosts to communicate through the Vrbo app, which can complicate things when the app isn’t functioning properly. Regarding the WiFi information, this is included in the check-in message sent through the Vrbo app and can also be found within the listing details. However, we understand that if the app was not functioning properly, this information would have been inaccessible to you, which we sincerely regret. On top of that, discovering the leaking sink and dealing with the odor must have been unpleasant. If we had been notified of the issue with the sink, we would have immediately sent a handyman to fix it. Having to deal with soaked toilet paper and purchase more is another inconvenience no guest should have to endure. It sounds like the lack of communication and the app issues, and the unresolved maintenance problems significantly impacted your stay. I’d recommend leaving detailed feedback on Vrbo and potentially reaching out to their support team to request further resolution for these issues. No one should have to deal with this during their vacation, and I hope future stays are much smoother for you. We did not hear from you throughout the duration of your stay so we were under the impression everything was going great. Out goal is to provide a 5 star experience and had we know we would have done everything we could to be sure this was the experience you had.
