Lake Gregory is known as the Swiss Alps of the West. Our Swiss chalet is a real mountain get away for you and your family! The remodeled cabin is a duplex among tower trees in a beautiful nature setting. Situated between 2 creeks, that are know to be a part of a wildlife trail. Our home is a mile from the lake and San Moritz Lodge. Our place is ideal for those enjoying weddings and events at the lodge, hiking and enjoying lake activities. We are 18 miles from skiing and snowboarding.
Interior decor has been done with a woodsy outdoor feeling. Wood logs ceiling beams and a rock fireplace. Kitchen has modern amenities, gas stove, fridge, microwave and coffee machine. Bedrooms booth sleep 2, 1 queen bed and 1 day bed that converts into a queen bed. Down comforters, cable, wifi and BBQ. Enjoy the large deck for socializing and dinner.
The house is 2 bedrooms with 1 private Jack and Jill bathroom. The cabin is a duplex and guests for this listing will have the bottom floor to them selves. The units are up stairs and downstairs booth with a private entrances. Guests are to share parking when booth units are occupied. 2 car max in the drive way per unit, tandem parking is necessary when booth units are occupied.
Do use one of the units occasionally but rely on our help if something is necessary and I am not around.
Located 1 mile from Lake Gregory and 6 miles from Lake Arrowhead. House is in a Family neighborhood among cascading mountain homes. Nights are dark and quit with an occasional car going by. Sometimes you can hear dogs near by and many neighbors are out walking their dogs. Residence in the area keep their homes well kept and there is a sense of comradery in the neighborhood.
The weekend Trolly is our Mountain Transit shuttle, that will take you around town, to Lake Arrowhead and even to Big Bear. We are 1 mile from the lake and the San Moritz lodge (note the walk to the lake is down hill and up hill coming back). We are also 1.5 miles from the local grocery store and about 2 miles from down town Crestline. In town there is a bowling alley, shopping (including antiques) and restaurants. More Shopping can be found in old town about 3 miles from house. Additional shopping and restaurants can be found in Blue Jay (5 miles away) and Lake Arrow Head (6 miles away). Fun snow activities can be enjoyed near by and Skiing and Snowboard can be done at Snow Valley about 18 miles away.
To avoid coordinating parking with the upper unit. We limit one car per unit to park in the driveway. If 2 cars are necessary for your party, street parking is available across from the house.
