Points forts : État et installations de l’hébergement, communication

Cabin was clean and cute but we wouldn’t book again for the following reasons… Misleading advertisement, it said Mountain View and there was none. That’s the main reason we go so we were disappointed. Bed was outdated and really creeky. No hair dryer (all other places I’ve stayed had one so I didn’t bring mine). No gate on the side deck so when sitting in the hot tub I felt a little uneasy w bear in the area. Hot tub would not get hot the first night. Rocking chair on the deck was broke.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pros: Beautiful cabin in a remote mountain location in Gatlinburg. Nearby grocery stores, restaurants, and crafts stores. Locals are knowledgeable and friendly. Ideal for wildlife enthusiasts and remote locations.Cons: Black bear sightings in September. Poor internet and mobile connection, unsuitable for remote work. Cabin has beautiful woodwork, but one bathroom lost electricity, and the hot tub only heated once in a 10-day stay. Trash was never removed despite warnings about food safety.

Great little cabin near Gatlinburg

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Fontana was spotless upon arrival (and was ready 3 hours early!!). Check in was a breeze, they texted a code for the door and we were in. The master bedroom has a walk-in closet, bring your own hangers, and a 4 drawer dresser. The king bed was comfortable, plenty of pillows and an extra blanket in the closet. The kitchen has a nice layout, a few cooking items, and full table setting. The loft area has another bath with shower,a walk in closet, a jacuzzi tub, and pool table. The kids said the pull out couch wasn't the most comfortable, but it wasn't terrible. The deck was nice with 2 rocking chairs and a gas grill. The hot tub was awesome , I just wish it was under a roof for those rainy nights. There is a stacked washer and dryer just bring your laundry detergent. There is a 4 person table that is a little tight as it's right in front of the door to the deck. And 2 bar stools at the bar. The cabin is in the Arts and Crafts area of Gatlinburg with many quaint shops and specialty items. We parked at the trolley stop only 3 minutes from the cabin and rode into downtown Gatlinburg. There is a grocery store only 5 minutes away.

The owners had a limit on the heat. The heat went up to the second floor. We turned the fireplace a lot.

My second stay at this cabin

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Really enjoyed our stay once again at this cabin. Great location to Gatlinburg. Warm, cozy and loved every minute of it. The fireplace timer needs some attention. It wouldnt cut off without manually turning it off and the fridge woke us up in the middle of the night making a loud noise that eventually stopped.

Fontana cabin review

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a nice place for a couple, although I wouldn’t recommend to couples with children. Me and my wife stayed and all night we could hear the fridge making weird noises. Therefore of course we couldn’t sleep. Stayed awake most of the night. The outside as well didn’t have very much lighting. It was so dark we had to use flashlights to be able to be in and out. On our third morning being there the electricity went out on the down stairs bathroom. Called elk springs and luckily got it fixed, the upstairs bathroom lights kept flickering ever since we got there so we knew any second those would go out, luckily no. Honestly this cabin was so problematic but we enjoyed what we could.

A Quiet Retreat

This visit I stayed at the Fontana. This is a one bedroom cabin but certainly has space for more people. A perfect spot to take a break from the hustle and bustle of every day life. The cabin was very nice. The water pressure in the main floor shower was a little weak but it certainly did not detract from the experience. Loved the pool table and the gazebo lookouts! Very convenient to a local grocery and restaurants.
