The home is located at the base of Schweitzer Mountain on Granite View Drive, a gravel road that winds through a mountainous landscape, offering stunning views of Lake Pend Oreille and the Cabinet Mountains.

Please note that the home is accessible via a 0.4-mile drive on Granite Ridge Road, which can become icy during the winter months, so we recommend using AWD or 4WD vehicles during this time.

Guests will have private access to the Après Guest House, which is located on a portion of the lower level of the main home. Enjoy free driveway parking, making arrivals and outings effortless during your stay

Designed for a small family getaway or a romantic couple’s retreat, the guest house features a king-size bed in the bedroom and a full-size pullout bed in the living space. Need to squeeze in some work before play? The dedicated workspace with Starlink high-speed internet and a monitor makes handling those boring meetings a breeze—so you can get back to enjoying your Idaho adventure faster!

The fully stocked kitchen has everything you need to whip up a meal, including a toaster oven, hot plate, Keurig duo coffee maker (with coffee and cream provided!), a full-size fridge, and all the essential cookware. When it’s time to dine, the table seats up to four guests, perfect for a cozy meal together.

The cozy living room is designed for relaxation, featuring a large smart TV, a recliner, and a sofa with a full-size pullout bed. Board games are also available for a little friendly competition after a day of exploring!

The spacious bedroom is a peaceful retreat, boasting a king-size bed, large smart TV, recliner, and a spacious closet for all your gear.

Know Before You Go:

Train Noise – The Après Guest House overlooks a peaceful valley with train tracks at the bottom of the hill. The city of Sandpoint is known for its trains, so you will hear whistles from below. Many guests find they quickly become accustomed to the sound, though lighter sleepers may be more sensitive. We recommend reading the reviews to see how different guests have experienced it, as the impact can vary from season to season.

- Winter Driving – Our road (Granite Ridge) is 0.4 miles of mountain gravel, and it can get icy in winter. We recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles when the snow flies.

- No Smoking – For the safety and cleanliness of the home for all our guests, smoking of any kind is NOT allowed anywhere on the property.

Quiet Hours – As part of a peaceful mountain community, we ask that all guests respect our neighbors by keeping noise levels down between 10 PM and 9 AM.
