Lake House ACROSS FROM DOCK & option for renting 2nd property on land
This unique property is 2.3 acres with views of North & South Twin Lake! We are across the street from the public dock, a short walk to Traditions bar/restaurant, & a 1 minute drive to the 2 beaches! There is a 6.2 mile walking/bike trail at the front of our property to enjoy! We VRBO 2 homes on this property, so if you are needing more space, search for our second house at 7146 twin lakes rd. The public dock is across the street, but for an additional fee, we do also have a dock you can rent across the street as well.
The space: Enclosed sunroom with A/C to enjoy 5'oclock drinks and coffee! The main floor has 1 full bathroom & a full kitchen! I’ve tried to supply all the dishes/utensils you need, so you won’t need to bring anything with you! Coffee pot provided with filters, just make sure to bring your own coffee! Downstairs there is 1 with 1 queen bed. The living room does have 2 couches that kids have slept on comfortably & plenty of room for blowup mattresses as well! The second story has a large open space with 2 twin beds and 1 queen bed. I do provide plenty of bath towels, dish and hand towels, but If you plan to wash your clothes during your stay, or feel as if you’ll be using a lot of towels, please bring your own detergent to use the washer and dryer in the basement. In the summer there will also be a firepit and grill provided!
Guest access: We own the entire 2.3 acres. There is a 2nd house on the property that we VRBO as well, so please just be sure to respect their space. You will see there is a separate drive lane to their home, so please park in your own driveway. There is extra parking behind the home. We do plan to build more properties to rent out on our land in the upcoming years, so don’t forget about us for large family gatherings!
Other things to note: There is a drive lane that goes straight to your home, and you will see a separate driveway to the second house we rent on our property. Please just respect each other’s space. There is plenty of space for parking. You will see a large open area behind both homes where we will eventually build more homes to rent, but for now, feel free to use it to ride bikes, let the kids play, and for parking. Just stay on your own side when parking please. Our property line ends where the land slopes down the steep bank on the back side. There is a public dock across the street to use, but if you would rather rent our boat slip for your stay, please message me for availability and pricing!

Jessica was great to work with! She was quick on the approval of the house, especially when we waited until last minute to book it! :) she responded quick and answered all the questions I had for her! Gave us recommendations not only for the area but the events that were going on. Was definitely a positive first experience in the area!

We ( husband, myself, adult son) stayed at this Twin Lakes cabin at Thanksgiving 2025 while visiting family near Rockwell City. It was a nice option since hotel/motel space is limited in this rural area. Jessica is a friendly, thorough, communicative host. The living/dining area is spacious with a loveseat sofa, recliner couch and 2 dining table sets.The flooring is new and clean. Be advised the ceiling height in this area is low if you have any tall people in your group. There is one step up from here to the single bath and lower bedroom hallway. The bathroom is a little tiny, but it was clean and there were plenty of towels. The shower/tub is a tub with a shower wand. I took that down to use, as there is also a window and wallspace in the curtained area that I didn't want to get wet. The lower bedroom ( 1Q) was comfy and the carpet was in good shape. The access to the upper bedroom space was via a narrow, steep set of carpeted stairs with no handrail, so be advised if any of your group has knee or mobility issues or would be going up and down frequently. The upper area was spacious with the 3 beds, an overhead light and fan. As we were with family, we didn't get to try the fireplace or need to use the kitchen for anything other than a simple breakfast, but what you needed was there with a good size refrigerator. The listing photos are representative. Overall it was a good experience. I would like to try the new "sister" cabin on the same property next time.
