Welcome to this charming pet-friendly cabin, perfect for a couples' getaway or a family of four. Sitting an easy 5 minute drive from Alpine Helen, you will waste no time driving to the downtown area for shopping and dining.

Enter the cabin into the warmth of the wood walls and ceilings. The living room features a leather sofa and a cast iron stove. There is a wall-mounted television with YouTube TV for all your entertainment pleasures. The kitchen is equipped with full size appliances, including a stove and oven, refrigerator and microwave. There is a standard drip coffee maker and a crock pot. The cabinets are filled with all the dinnerware, glassware and cookware you will need to prepare meals at your home away from home.

On the main floor is the bedroom with two twin beds, both with views of the surrounding woods from the large picture windows. The bath features a shower/tub combination and one sink vanity. Upstairs in the loft is master king bed with a leather recliner and a small flat screen television.

Outside the sliding glass doors in the living room is a large screened porch with outdoor furniture for lounging and dining. The hot tub is ready and waiting for you to relax and enjoy.

This is a pet-friendly cabin and a one-time per-pet fee will be added if you bring your dog(s). The pet fees that will be added to your reservation are $75 + tax for the first and $50 + tax for each additional. Maximum of 2 dogs allowed, weighing no more than 25 lbs each.

‱ Minimum Age Requirement: Unicoi Pines is available to families or to guests 25 years or older.
‱ Parking: Space is available for 3 vehicles.
‱ Access: The road is dirt and gravel to the cabin. Not recommended for low-profile vehicles.
‱ Pets: Only 2 dogs are allowed at at Unicoi Pines.
‱ Location: 5 miles to downtown Helen.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great 2 bedroom cabin nestled in the woods near Helen, GA. Lots of great hiking and the town of Helen itself is so charming, especially when all decorated for Christmas! Some of the best German food we have ever eaten. The hot tub at the cabin is a great way to relax after a day spent hiking.

The hot tube was half way broke. Only one jet worked and it was extremely foamy. The shower fell apart the first time I tried to take a shower. It also felt very cramped with uncomfortable furniture. It was definitely not worth the price. I will not rent that cabin ever again.

We loved our weekend getaway! The cabin is perfect tucked back in the trees for privacy. Wonderful hot tub and screened in porch. We had a small problem with the fireplace staying lit but they sent out someone right away to fix it. He was kind, friendly and quickly fixed it.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed in the Unicoi Pines cabin for the Thanksgiving weekend and had a wonderful time! The cabin was stocked with everything we could need and there were tons of games we could play as a family. We had a minor issue on Saturday with the battery dying in our lock pad so we had to call for someone to come let us in. They were there within 30 minutes and so sweet about it but that was a bit frustrating. Other than that, I would highly recommend this cabin and this company!

Communication needs work

We got there at 8 pm. We were unable to get in our cabin due to the door being locked and the codes not working. We waited until 10:30 pm before anyone made it out to let us in. The guy who let us in, was kind. However the lady who was talking to us on the phone said to call her back if he didn’t make it within 10-15 minutes. We waited 30 minutes, then tried to reach out. She then blocked my number and we were just stuck waiting an additional hour before their maintenance guy made it. We were weren’t blowing her phone up at all, we were told “maybe she’s with her family”. We felt like we “inconvenienced” her even though we only called her once. Again, the maintenance guy was nice. The low rating is due to us being blocked and not knowing what was going on. Everything else was great.
