We had a wonderful time. Our only complaint (and the reason we didn’t give 5 stars) was the bed. That was the hardest bed i have ever slept on. (What little sleep i got). Not even a mattress. It felt more like a piece of plywood. I went to WalMart and purchase a 2 inch foam padding so I could sleep. Everything else was great. But that mattress has to be replaced. Honestly. It may keep us from booking there again. But everything else was great.

The condo is right on the beach with a fantastic view. Communication with Brett/Robinson was great. The condo comes with spaces in the parking garage, which is a plus.

This was just the way it shows in pictures. Few steps to the beach. Everything we need in the condo for our stay. Fast check in/check out Close enough to anything you would like to do Definitely will be booking again

Last minute getaway

The condo itself is great the issue is the master bathroom. I don’t know how long that stain has been there but it’s seriously time to get a new bath tub, and the rack that is hanging in there was rusted and from the looks of it, it’s been like that for a while. How in the world did the cleaning crew not notice this? It time to upgrade the tub, and maybe find.a new cleaning crew

Penthouse Rental

Very nice great location. 9' ceilings with crown molding throughout. 8' doors too. Very nice apartment, great water pressure and great air conditioning. Overall, one of the best vacations we have had, we will be back. I would highly recommend this property for a great relaxing vacation.

Location perfect! Unit needs some TLC.

Our stay was just what we needed. The location was fantastic and it was an easy trip out to the beach. The entire facility and this unit in particular needs quite a bit of updating and care. The unit, which was clearly beautiful in its prime, has been neglected and has not been cleaned well in a very long time. If that doesn't matter to the guest, it has the potential to be a great place.

Love this property

My second time staying at the Island Royale. I appreciate the security (always friendly) and the lady who cleans the pool and the public areas. Would prefer a keypad like is present in many units. Stopping by the office on the way in and on the way out is inconvenient, especially with the road construction. I do appreciate that Brett/Robinson is accessible anytime by phone or text. King mattress/foundation in this unit are probably due for replacement. Would definitely stay here again - as a woman traveling with her mother, the security is a big plus, AND it’s just a short walk to Bahama Bob’s! When I stayed at this property last year with girlfriends, we also walked to the Steamer, the Hangout, and the Pink Pony.

Return trip!

I stayed in this condo last year with 4 girlfriends and we loved it. This year, my husband and I booked the same condo as we had two friends with us, both recently widowed. The condo was clean, the kitchen stocked with everything we could possibly need to cook any meal and the balcony had a view that was second to none. So close to all activities like the Hangout and souvenir shops. Weather was perfect. My only suggestion might be a slightly larger TV as it was a bit difficult for all of us to watch but we only turned the TV on once so it wasn’t a huge issue for us. The condo is in front of the elevator door so super easy in and out. Condo is also quiet and we never heard any foot traffic outside the room. Regular coffee maker, not a “pod” type but not a problem. Plenty of hot water for showers and decent water pressure. Would certainly recommend, especially to a couple with kids as the master bedroom has a comfortable king and the second bedroom has two twin beds. A hard combination to find. Great place to stay!

Beautiful view and nice accommodation. Only complaint would be check in-instead of coded locks, had to use a key and it was very difficult for management to locate the key upon our arrival. Keyless entry would have been great.

Great location for all ages

Five Vintage ladies took a girls trip to Gulf Shores and stayed at Island Royale. Our rooms were immaculate and the kitchen well stocked. Comfortable beds and unbeatable view. If I had one small issue: the condo was overstocked with furniture. Large pieces and decor that were fine with us but might be a lot for a family with small children. My husband and I along with another couple stayed there last May and have already made our reservations for this September. Thank you to everyone that helped make our Trip a success!

The Condo was good. The constant hassle of evacuating due to fire alarms became a problem. Stain in tub of master bath and a swivle wheel on bottom of DR chair was broken.

Great Location - needs updating

The location, size and “amenities “ were fantastic- the balcony was awesome. My only review is that description should include bedroom 2 has 2 twin beds and that the LR furniture, decor and kitchen appliances should be updated.

Displeased with Brett Robinson as property manager. Unclear on payment procedures. No contact from Brett Robinson until noon on day of check in. Check in was unorganized and unprofessional. Payment couldn’t be confirmed, I reminded worker to scan drivers license, keys could not be found quickly, my questions could not be answered with certainty. It is highly unlikely that I will use Brett Robinson in the future. I will continue to use VRBO.

Best family vacation ever!!!

This was our first family vacation to the beaches of Gulf Shores and our stay at this condo helped to make it one of our best vacations ever! It is beautifully furnished and the kitchen is well-stocked. We enjoyed our coffee on the balcony overlooking the ocean each morning. The twin beds were great for our daughters and it was so great to have 2 bathrooms. We were so very comfortable and the washer and dryer were an added bonus! The condo is right on the beach and close to all the nearby amenities! We had such a great time and hope to return again each year!

Great vacation, fabulous condo

We spent a week at this Island Royale condo the beginning of June. It truly was a home away from home. Very comfortable with everything we needed for the week's stay. We have stayed at just about every condo up and down West Beach over the years and this one was the BEST. The condo was thoughtfully furnished as was the kitchen. No run to Wal-Mart for extra this or that. We plan to make this our "home" for our yearly beach getaways! Thanks ya'll!
