Tucked in a peaceful, private neighborhood near Lake Simpatico, you’ll find the perfect spot for paddleboarding, fishing (no license required), and lakeside picnics. Just 15 minutes away, explore the waters of Vallecito Lake and Lemon Reservoir for even more outdoor fun. Bring your dog with you, too! As the sun sets, Bayfield’s designation as a “dark skies” community turns the front deck into your own personal observatory — ideal for stargazing under a canopy of stars.

LOCATION:
•The Forest Lakes community is 8 miles North of Bayfield, and 8 miles South of Lake Vallecito Recreation Area. Forest Lakes also has a playground and neighborhood lake for fishing - Lake Simpatico - with a walking trail around the lake.
•This home is approximately 20 miles from downtown Durango, 15 miles from Sky Ute Casino, and 50 miles from Pagosa Springs. There is plenty of dining, unique shops, and outdoor recreation in the surrounding area.

PETS: This home is pet friendly! We allow up to 2 dogs. The pet fee is $40/day (for a max $250 per stay). Pets must be crated if they are left home alone. Guests are expected to pick up after their pet and keep them leashed.

GOOD TO KNOW:
•There is a portable AC unit in this home. Temperatures inside the property are also easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.
•The main door is access up an exterior flight of stairs.
•This cabin is rented from mid-April thru mid-October and is closed for the winter months

Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).
Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities.

VRC CANCELLATION POLICY: If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes to stay dates, including changes that result in a shortened stay, are not permitted within 30 days of arrival, and any such changes will result in a penalty. Cancellations or changes that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance.
