The Space:

THE SPACE

Inside, the main gathering space centers around a Tuscany-inspired wood-burning fireplace framed by cathedral ceilings and rich wood floors. French doors open from the living and dining area to a screened porch with a peaceful view of the woods. The kitchen pairs unique character with purpose, offering treetop light and seamless flow to the living spaces. Another set of French doors leads from the family room to a larger screened porch, which opens to a deck with sweeping views ideal for unhurried meals and long conversations.



Each bedroom is thoughtfully designed with its own personality, one bright and cheerful with golden tones and floral art, another grounded by rich colors and a handwoven rug. Downstairs, a playful bunk room features a Murphy bed, slide, and whimsical touches perfect for little adventurers. Soft lighting, crisp linens, and forest-facing windows create a peaceful atmosphere throughout.

The primary bath features a deep soaking tub, a walk-in rainfall shower, and a charming window that connects to the bedroom for natural light and a spa-like feel. On the lower level, a full bath and laundry area offer added flexibility, an ideal setup for longer stays and easy transitions after time at the lake.



Outside, the cottage feels fully immersed in the landscape. Two screened porches with peaceful views of the surrounding trees offer shaded spots to relax, rain or shine. Adirondack chairs gather on the covered front porch beside a chiminea, and the wooded setting encourages unhurried walks, stargazing, and evenings by the fire pit. The atmosphere remains quiet and unhurried, shaped by the sound of wind through the trees and the glow of a fire after dark.



Located in the heart of Harbor Country, Wanderwood Cottage places you minutes from some of Southwest Michigan’s most beloved destinations. Spend sunny days along the sugar-sand shores of Warren Dunes State Park, hike forested dune trails with sweeping lake views, or explore the artsy charm of nearby Three Oaks. Wine lovers will appreciate being close to local gems like Dablon, Round Barn, and Tabor Hill, while craft beer enthusiasts can unwind at Greenbush Brewing Co. or grab a bite at local favorites like Fitzgerald’s or Infusco. Farmers markets, antique shops, and boutique galleries line the scenic Red Arrow Highway, and come evening, live music, bonfires, and beach sunsets complete the perfect Michigan day.



Other Things to Note:

To ensure a safe and compliant stay, all guests are required to complete identity verification prior to check-in. A valid government-issued photo ID will be collected and verified, and the name on the ID must match the credit card used for payment. When applicable, a background screening may also be required as part of the booking process.



All guests are required to review and sign Juniper Holiday + Home's Guest Occupancy Agreement prior to check-in. While we understand that events can affect your trip, it is our policy to stick to the agreed-upon cancellation policy in the listing. We recommend purchasing vacation travel insurance if you suspect you may need to cancel your reservation.



The minimum age to rent this home is 25.



A non-refundable Accidental Damage Waiver is included with your reservation. This waiver covers accidental damage or loss to the rental property caused by you or members of your party up to a maximum of $2,000. This plan does not cover intentional acts, gross negligence, or willful misconduct.



We welcome up to one dog at this home at no additional charge. Please include your dog in the reservation details or let our team know after booking. 



The additional building featured in photos is for owner use only and not accessible to guests.



Out of respect for our staff and their families, we do not permit check-ins or check-outs on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Thank you for your understanding.
