Fort Benning is a large Army installation, and visiting for ceremonies can feel overwhelming. This quick guide covers what families most often need to know.
Ceremonies You May Attend
Turning Green
Marks the end of Basic Training. Short, formal ceremony. Photos are usually allowed after. Liberty is often limited.
Turning Blue
Marks completion of OSUT / advanced training. More relaxed than Turning Green, with more time together afterward.
Graduation
Formal ceremony, often held on Sand Hill. Seating fills quicklyâarrive early. Best photos are after formations break.
Getting on Base

âą Vehicles may be searched
âą Obey speed limits strictly
