Crystal Dreams is a gorgeous dog-friendly chalet just across the road from Crystal Mountain (about 1 mile in total from Crystal Mountain). Features large backyard deck with NEW DELUXE 4-PERSON HOT TUB OPEN YEAR-ROUND, outdoor dining, and a new gas grill. Includes free year-round shuttle to Crystal Mountain, private outdoor bonfire ring, attached 2-car garage, 2 wall A/C units, laundry room with washer and dryer, and wood fireplace. Perfect year-round getaway for couples, families, or groups!
INTERACTION WITH GUESTS:
We have a local property manager that lives in the area and is available to address any guest questions, concerns, or issues.
NEIGHBORHOOD:
The chalet is located just across the road from Crystal Mountain Resort. It is part of a high-end sub-division called Scenic North in which all of the homes are quite gorgeous and have large lots and considerable privacy. About half of the homes are occupied year-round and half are vacation homes.
The home is in a great location for exploring northern Michigan! First of all, it is just across the street (about 1 mile in total) from Crystal Mountain Resort! In addition to having some of the best downhill skiing, snowboarding, and cross-country skiing in the Midwest, Crystal Mountain has numerous other activities and venues including a spa, golf, outdoor laser tag, a hiking trail, a playground, an alpine slide, indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs, a fitness center, horse drawn surrey rides, ice skating, a climbing wall, a zipline, and great restaurants! There is truly something for everyone ALL YEAR-ROUND at Crystal Mountain!
The home is also close to a number of other great northern Michigan destinations including:
* Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore
* Lake Michigan
* Crystal Lake
* the charming beach towns of Manistee, Onekama, Arcadia, Frankfort, Beulah, Empire, and Glen Arbor
* Traverse City
GUEST ACCESS:
Guests have access to the entire property except for the unfished basement, 2 owner closets, and an owner cabinet in the garage.
THE SPACE:
The home is beautifully decorated with Crystal Mountain and ski memorabilia throughout the house. The home has 3 bedrooms with 1 of the bedrooms being a large bunk room above the garage that is entered via stairs from inside the garage. (The bunk room has its own separate heat and air conditioning.) Includes a total of 10 beds made up of 4 queen beds, 2 single beds, a futon, a chair that folds out into a bed, and 2 fold-up cots. There are 2 full bathrooms. We do limit maximum capacity to 10 people though and no more than 4 vehicles.
The real highlight of the home is the large backyard deck with a NEW DELUXE 4-PERSON HOT TUB THAT IS OPEN YEAR-ROUND, outdoor dining furniture, and a new high-end Weber gas grill. There is also a fun and family-friendly bonfire ring in the backyard near the woods behind the house. The rental includes use of the 2-car attached garage, which is great for easy entry and exit as well as keeping cars free of snow in the winter.
The home has a very comfy living room with a sofa, 2 comfy chairs, coffee table, and a wood fireplace that is available for guests to use. Also has a live-streaming television with Sling included. In addition to the living room, there is an upstairs loft area with a futon, chair, and another live streaming television with Sling. The 2 upstairs bedrooms both have live-streaming televisions with Sling as well. In addition to Sling, the 4 Roku televisions are also equipped with Pureflix, Angel, Netflix, and Disney+ apps with subscriptions to each of these apps included. The home has high-speed Wi-Fi provided by Acentek.
The home has a fully-equipped modern kitchen with all appliances including a dishwasher. There is a standard drip coffee maker and basic coffee and filters are included with the rental. There is also a good supply of pots, pans, and cooking and dining utensils provided in the kitchen. The home also has a laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer as well as a laundry sink and cabinets.
For heating, the home has both propane and electric heat. There is also a wood fireplace and the bunk room above the garage has an electric fireplace. For cooling, there is a wall A/C unit in the upstairs loft area and a wall A/C unit in the bunk room above the garage. There are also several ceiling fans and portable fans provided.
TRANSIT:
It is highly recommended that guests have their own means of transportation.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
1) PET POLICY: Up to 3 dogs are allowed at the property. More than 3 dogs or any kind of pet other than a dog is strictly prohibited. Please make certain that the pet fee is paid if bringing 1 to 3 dogs. Specific rules for dogs are as follows:
a) Do not leave a dog unattended at the property (neither inside nor outside) unless it is crated indoors.
b) Do not allow a dog outside in the neighborhood unless it is on a leash.
c) Due to the newer carpeting in the bedroom above the garage, dogs are not permitted in the bedroom above the garage.
d) Please pick up and properly dispose of all pet waste.
2) LIMITED AIR CONDITIONING: Please note that the property does have wall A/C units, but it does not have central air conditioning. The wall A/C units may not be able to fully cool in the house if the weather is unusually warm.
3) NUMBER OF GUESTS AND VEHICLES: Please note that our pricing is based upon the number of guests, with pricing being higher with each additional guest that is included on the reservation. Please make certain that the correct number of guests is specified on the reservation so that the pricing is correct. Please also note that we strictly enforce the maximum occupancy to a maximum of 14 people and 5 vehicles.
4) EARLY CHECK-IN: Our policy is to allow early check-in on the day of arrival if the property is available for check-in. We will not know until the day before arrival whether or not the property will be available for early check-in or not. You can check with our local property manager the day before arrival or on your arrival day to see if the property will be available for early check-in or not.
5) LATE CHECK-OUT: We maintain a very strict and structured cleaning schedule. As such, late check-outs are strictly prohibited.
6) CRYSTAL MOUNTAIN AMENITIES AND ACTIVITES: Please note that all activities and amenities at Crystal Mountain are available for purchase separately. No amenities or activities at Crystal Mountain are included with the rental, but free year-round shuttle service to and from Crystal Mountain is included with the rental.
