Host was really great to work with- quick communication when needed. The building has historical charm with easy access to local eateries and attractions. Parking and building access were both very easy. The local corner store was a bonus. The unit itself is well appointed with great views and everything you need to have an enjoyable stay. My friends and I enjoyed our weekend here and plan to return again soon.

Overall stay was good with a few inconveniences.The apartment was clean and nicely maintained, though it had only the basics in terms of supplies. The parking is in a secure lot, but you do need the owner to let you in and out, which can be a bit inconvenient depending on your schedule.We did run into an issue with the pullout couch not having sheets or a comforter the first night, so the three of us had to share the queen bed. The host did provide them after we reached out, which we appreciated. There were also thoughtful touches like coffee pods, soda, and snacks.We planned to cook some meals to save money, but the kitchen wasn’t fully equipped—no bowls and limited cookware—so that made it difficult for a family of three.The building felt very secure, and we never felt unsafe. While there are some homeless individuals in the area, they did not cause any issues during our stay.One thing to note: the fire alarm went off at 4 a.m., and being on the 18th floor could be challenging, especially for anyone with mobility concerns. The building is older, but it has a lot of charm and beautiful architecture.If you want, I can tweak the tone (more positive for ratings, or a little firmer if you want the host to take action).

This condo is spacious, but lacks in accommodations. The retrieval of the key to the apartment requires you to access a questionable alley (do so IN your vehicle) without a code. The code that I was provided with thru Expedia was 0000. I called, the owner answered and gave me the right code and directions to retrieve the key. You won’t understand, unless you call. As listed, it states that there are linens provided for the pullout. Only a comforter was provided. I had to get sheets and pillows delivered from Walmart on my dime. It has a kitchen, but only has plates and utensils. 2 pots. One tiny skillet. No baking pans. Not one bowl. If you are looking for a place to stay, that you just need to sleep. It is fine. Very clean. There was a couch (king pullout with no sheets or pillows) comforter provided, 2 barstools, and a queen size bed with linens and pillows. No tables or chairs.

Check-in was super easy, and (referencing a previous review) not too sketchy if done while still daylight. Parking is right out the back entrance in a secured lot accessed with the key fob. There is a little convenience store on the bottom floor that has all the basics. The apartment is on the 18th floor, so we met several folks in the elevator. Everyone was friendly. The apartment itself was perfect for what we needed. No frills, but an extra comfy bed, nice big shower (no tub), strong wifi that handled a TV and 3 tablets with no lag. A lamp would have been nice, but not necessarily needed. Overall, if I ever have to stay overnight in b'ham again, ill seek this place out first.
