The Space:

This cottage is a great getaway spot on the Oregon Coast that is perfect for a couple. Located just a short walk to the beach, this vacation rental sits in a quiet setting that offers seclusion yet is also just a short drive to town. It has a nice deck out in front that includes a private gas grill so you can enjoy a BBQ and dine outside. Inside, you will find everything you need including a flatscreen TV with cable and DVD player for added entertainment options.



The beach is a short walk down Wallace Street where you will find plenty of sandy beaches to explore where Schoolhouse Creek meets the ocean. There are a couple of dining options in Gleneden Beach just a mile to the north or continue a bit further north to Salishan Resort where you will find more dining or grab a round of golf. There is also a nice grocery store a short drive to the south along Highway 101.

A charming and cozy cottage

Very clean and well stocked with everything one could want! Great location to everything, especially to the beautiful beach! A great couple's get away. There is a pretty strong mildew smell, but we just lite some candles and it was all good!

Small property, great location

This house is quite small and could use a few upgrades but the price is very reasonable and you are about 5 minutes from the beach so it's great for 2 people.

Cute Beach Cottage

Great location and quiet neighborhood. This cottage is cute, in need of some updates and sprucing up but overall, the price per night reflects what you are getting. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Deck was nice to sit out and enjoy the fresh air. We were in a tennis tournament at Salishan and this cottage was just a couple miles from there which was nice.

Cozy cottage

Clean and tidy. Great for my husband and I to have a quick get away. Loved the deck and how close it was to the beach. We did have dinner in one night and i would caution oven temp seems to cook hotter than expected.

Very outdated. Needs yard work!

The living room ceiling appeared to be old asbestos tiles as did the siding on the outside. The house was very clean but very dated. The outside was a mess. We wouldn’t stay there again.

Super cute!

Loved the property! Very clean, super cute, and just the right size! We only had one problem and it was with the tv. When we texted for help they answered back quickly but would just leave us hanging when they couldn’t figure it out. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Not all Kiwis are the same

Not pleased with this property, the carpet was gross, the bedroom doors wouldn’t close very well because of alignment, kitchen was so old it’s sad, the pictures show a carport - but it isn’t there. Bed was comfortable, water was hot, internet worked. I would not recommend staying here, nor stay here again.

I appreciated the cleanliness of the house. Management even made a stop by to inspect it upon our arrival. The completely remodeled bathroom and new kitchen sink are very nice, nicely stocked kitchen, and the new paint t in an attempt to spiff it up a bit. I liked the quiet area and deck. I didn't like the uneven floor, the old, frayed carpet, the uncomfortable couch, the tv that didn't work well, and although we didn't smell the mildew during our stay, it was in our clothing and luggage upon our return home. A good place to stay if you only need to cook a meal and sleep there.

This COULD be so cute!

Super disappointed! Very dirty and run down. Had to clean it before we could even begin to unpack. The mold in the small bedroom is so bad no one could sleep in there. Dead earwig in freezer, greasy dirty light fixtures and appliances. The pictures online don’t show any of this.

Great location

We LOVED the quiet, quaint neighborhood of this little charmer. I would recommend it to anyone who doesn’t mind quirks. Specifically the stovetop is all on weird angles, not all outlets work (the one in the bathroom did not function with the hair dryer), not all lights have a light-switch, etc. When we first came in, the inside of the microwave was not clean, and the toilet needed to be flushed. Not the end of the world, but should be better, considering the cleaning fee. Overall, it was a very cozy place in a wonderful neighborhood.

Anniversary stay

My wife and I celebrated our 16th anniversary here. It was a great time. The house was clean and had easy access to the beach. The shower drains need cleaned as they backed up a bit and we never located the DVD player which was advertised as an amenity of the location. We also struggled to connect our devices to the internet. They were kicked off the network almost immediately. The smart TV worked fine though so we could still stream videos if we wanted. All in all it was a great trip and I would return given the opportunity.

Beware!

Oregon’s governor declared a state of emergency due to a winter snowstorm during our reservation. I was unable to safely travel to this VRBO. I asked the owner, due to the impending snowstorm and my safety concerns, if I could change my reservation to another time in January. They were unable to work with me and charged me for a stay I couldn’t safely get to. I understand there’s policies however their greediness was really disappointing.

Comfortable and quiet

The home seemed fairly clean but not super clean. A dead bug on the countertop, crumbs and lint on the chairs that are with the table. I really didn’t feel like a lot of extra effort was put into it because of Covid. The other thing that bothered me was electrical wires all over. It seemed like everything was a bit Jerry-rigged to avoid updating the electric system. I think you need to update the electric system. Some people wouldn’t be able to pull the chain in the on the light in the little bedroom or the hallway. And I don’t know that the heat choices (gas powered woodstove and wall heater in the hall) would be adequate in the winter time. I guess I wouldn’t stay at this particular home again. I’d probably upgrade a bit.

Beware of the mold

This place should honestly be condemned... this place was terrible, it looked so cute in the pictures but once we got inside we were hit with the stale dark stink of mold. When giving the place a look over I opened up the kitchen cabinets and they were full of black mold growth even around the windows mold was growing and the carpet was even damp from the humid Temps inside the house . It's hard to believe the owners, management and house cleaners didn't know about this problem. The mold was so bad underneath the kitchen sink that the trash bag had condensation on it. We couldn't even cook our Thanksgiving dinner because of the contamination, we called and called vacasa trying to get relocated and finally ended up getting relocated the next day to a mold free dwelling. Beware of this place it's a health hazard and I really hope they fix the mold issue so the next renter doesn't have to experience what i went through. Vrbo you should remove this listing until they fix the problem...

Girls getaway

This property does have location, I’ll give it that much. But, I feel we should definitely get our $90 cleaning fee returned as this place was not clean. Probably why I got a text for an early check in 1 1/2 after check out time from previous renters. Sheets on the beds definitely were not clean and we don’t think even changed as they had grass and hair in the king bed and the twin bed had a couple of spiders and hair. Ewww!!! Luckily I had brought a couple of spare blankets so we could sleep on top of the dirty sheets with those. The kitchen floor hadn’t been mopped or swept. Don’t bother bringing dvds cuz there is not a DVD player as in the description. Thank you though for having Netflix as the replacement. You should put a warning on the kitchen countertop not to place fruits or veges there because the hot water heater is underneath and will destroy anything overnight from the heat. Seriously need to update the rest of this cute cottage to go with bathroom that has been updated. With the money you get from this place I’m sure you could at least fix the carpet or at clean it occasionally. If you’re going to rent a place take some pride in it. This place has terrific potential because it is adorable just needs some major TLC.
