Welcome to our luxurious retreat surrounded by the Santa Rosa Mountains. Walk across the street to Bear Creek Trailhead where you might spot Big Horned Sheep. Relax or lap-swim in the heated saltwater pool while hummingbirds fly above. Soak in the saltwater hot tub under the stars - perhaps you'll catch a meteor shower or hear a hooting owl!

Inside, enjoy the large fully-stocked kitchen, open floor plan, fast reliable wifi, and a sit/stand desk if you gotta work.

The space:
Named after the playful hummingbirds who perch on the mature cacti and ocotillo plants, Casa Colibri is where we go to escape the city and find total relaxation. We welcome you to make this your monthly vacation home and enjoy the details this special place has to offer.

Cross the street (literally) to hiking and biking trails for all skill levels - from paved, family-friendly walks to more strenuous hikes.

Close proximity to the trails provides unobstructed views of the Santa Rosa mountains. Many homes in the cove have views, but not like this!

If you are a golf or tennis lover, we are less than a 10 minute drive to PGA West where the American Express golf tournament happens in January, and in March, you can drive to the Indian Wells Tennis Garden for the famous BNP Paribas Open in less than 15 minutes. The famous La Quinta Resort is less than 8 minutes by car and public golf, tennis, pickleball and gyms are a short drive or bike ride away.

Art lovers will appreciate the nearby La Quinta Art Celebration, Art On Main Street, and Desert Open Studio Tours. Foodies will not want to miss the Farmers Market every Sunday from October 1 - May 26 just 6 minutes away by car.

And music fans will love quietly relaxing here in between sets at Coachella or Stagecoach - 15 minutes away by car.

With all that La Quinta and surrounding areas have to offer, you will discover that Casa Colibri is a magical escape all in itself. Guests can enjoy the spacious and well-maintained property with all the comforts of home, including a fully-stocked kitchen and outdoor living areas.

Light sleepers will savor the quiet and comfort of Casa Colibri. All of the bedrooms have white noise machines, Saatva mattresses and fine bedding with down-alternative comforters and pillows. The primary suite has a smart tv, large walk-in closet, vanity with dual sinks, and a large step-in shower with water-filter.

It's easy to work remotely at Casa Colibri with the fast and reliable wifi and a sit/stand adjustable desk with office chair in the third bedroom.

The Indoor Space:
Casa Colibri is a three-bedroom, three-bathroom home in beautiful La Quinta, California's Upper Cove - 26 miles from Palm Springs and an approximately 2.5 - 3 hour drive from Los Angeles or San Diego.

The Living Room:
- Spacious living room with mountain views via the sliding doors leading to the outdoor living space and pool/spa. Smart TV, dvds w/ player, board games, and reading nook.

The Kitchen:
- Refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave and dishwasher
- Cookware, glassware, dinnerware and utensils
- Toaster, blender and other cooking amenities
- Basic spices, olive oil, and tea
- Drip coffee maker with one bag of local coffee provided

The Primary Suite:
- King-sized bed with comfortable mattress and pillows
- Smart tv with access to live tv streaming and Netflix
- White-noise machine
- Sliding doors lead out to pool/spa
- Large walk-in closet with hangars and luggage rack
- En-suite bathroom with step-in shower
- Hair dryer
- All bathrooms are equipped with towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and toilet paper

The Guest Bedrooms:
- Bedroom 2 has queen-sized bed and closet with hangers and luggage rack
- Bedroom 3 has full-size bed, adjustable sit/stand desk with office chair, and closet with hangers.
- All beds have luxury Saatva mattresses and are made up with soft, quality linens.
- Bedrooms are equipped with a white noise machine and charging ports on each nightstand

Guest Bathrooms:
- En-suite bathroom in the Primary Suite with step-on shower and water-filtration system
- Full bathroom off the hallway with sink, toilet, and shower/tub

Casa Colibri is a family-friendly property! We are happy to provide the following items on request:

Guest Access:
Guests will have exclusive access to the house and patios during their stay. Some portions of the property (hall closet and garage cabinets) will be locked off from guest use. These areas will not be accessed or occupied during your stay and are primarily used for storage.

Other Things to Note:

PETS ($150/STAY): We welcome well-behaved pets with prior notice. Just give us a heads-up in advance so we can prepare everything for their stay (house-trained dogs only. No cats or other pets, two dogs max). Non-refundable pet fee paid at booking. Dogs are not allowed in the pool or spa. No shedding dogs on bedding or furniture. Doggie bags and bowls provided. Please keep the grounds clear of defecation.

LARGE GROUPS/EVENTS: Daytime maximum occupancy as a 3BR vacation rental is 6 people. Events, parties, commercial photography strictly forbidden.

POOL/GARDEN/CLEANING: Pool serviced 2x a week, garden serviced 1x a week. Service days and approximate times will be disclosed in the step-by-step check in instructions sent on the day of your arrival. These schedules are fixed and cannot be changed.

We will schedule a mandatory mid-month cleaning per rental month.

The pool can be heated upon request from late September through early May. Pool heating is $100 per night with a 7 night minimum. We need a 14 day notice so we can order propane.

SPA HEAT:
The hot tub heating is free for up to 4 hours a day of soaking. Additional heating will result in a $75-a-day charge.

There is no safety gate around the pool. Guests traveling with children will need to acknowledge this in writing prior to your arrival.

The property has on-site RV parking. Please let us know in advance if you would like to utilize this.
