Cozy Lake Cottage with Elk Mountain 20 Minutes

Overlook Vacation Rentals features this cozy little cottage overlooking Newton Lake from the second tier, on a private dead end road with a shared deeded dock.

Our guests have enjoyed beautiful sunrises and a refreshing dip off the dock (bring the floaties and tubes). On the opposite side of the lake is boat access with a grassy area for our guests to sit and enjoy serene views of the lake. Beach access is a short 3 minute drive.

As you pull into the driveway (room for 2 cars), you notice a large deck with new patio furniture and a small lawn with a chiminea to get a fire going.

As you enter the living room, you are greeted by rustic tongue and groove paneling, giving that traditional cottage feel. Ample space for your group to sit in front of the gas fireplace as you stream your favorite show (Spectrum Cable, Disney+ and wi-fi provided).

At night, the couches pull-out for two additional beds to sleep 4 more friends or family. Still enough room to make it to the restroom or kitchen for a night snack, without stubbing your toe.

Upstairs provides a private bedroom featuring a queen bed. Perfect for couples or adults wanting to hide from the kids or teens. There is plenty of additional comforters and bedding for those brisk nights to cuddle under.

During July 4th celebrations, there is a spectacular fireworks display. Memorial and Labor Day weekends bustle with boaters and barbecues. Your Americana style holiday vacation.

Picturesque autumn foliage surrounds you. Bring your camera to photograph nature's vibrant display. The lake is crystal clear and smooth.

Winter at Overlook Vacation Rentals' Newton Lake Cottage is less than a 20 minute drive to Elk Mountain for the regions premier skiing and snowboarding mountain. The D and H trail is nearby for the snowmobiling enthusiasts. State game lands provide ice fishing and cross country skiing.
