The hosts and property were great - exactly what you'd want and expect. A beautiful location overlooking the ocean, very spacious and clean space with everything you'd need for preparing meals. If you don't want to cook, the Larrupin Cafe just down the road is outstanding.

Such an amazing location! Direct view of the ocean and sunsets. Outside space to lounge and take in the fresh air. Comfortable bed, plenty of space for a couple, and everything you need to stay in and relax. Check-in was smooth and instructions and directions were easy to follow - no issues at all. Location is very close to Trinidad and there is no shortage of outdoor activities. We were able to kayak on the lagoons, hike the trails nearby, and check out redwoods.

So stunning! Such a beautiful spot and close to an excellent restaurant (Larrupin) so it doesn’t feel *too* remote.

Absolutely wonderful property. We spent two nights but wished for more. We drove up to the parks to see the trees, and spent the evenings with the spectacular view and sunsets. All quiet, no road noise. You can hear someone upstairs but it was not a disturbance. There's a good grocery store nearby and an incredible restaurant very close. Terrapin or something like that. But you will need a reservation. Made dinner one night - had everything we needed. Kitchen basics were appreciated. Highly recommend this rental.

I never write reviews but my God this place was perfect. Every little detail (coffee with grinder, the lawn chairs, the extra blankets) was thought out. The view is worth every penny and this little studio is the perfect home base for a weekend Redwoods adventure. Spend the extra few bucks and stay here, you won’t regret it! Awesome awesome awesome, I will be telling friends and family to stay here…thank you to our hosts for making this a perfect trip!

We loved our stay at whale Rock suites. The views of the ocean were amazing and we felt really isolated but we were just a few minutes from Trinidad. It's literally the perfect place to watch the sunset. The apartment was clean, well stocked, especially with towels and very comfortable. Although there were different neighbors throughout the week, it stayed relatively quiet. The one small issue we had with a misfiring smoke alarm was resolved very quickly and the communication was excellent. We would not hesitate to stay here again and actually hope to in the near future.

This is a beautiful place with amazing views!! Please be aware there are 3 unites in this home and if your ok with sharing your space its great. We were a little concerned that a family with children would be there the same time. So I did call the host and gave dates and asked I was told it was all aduts renting so we proceeded with our booking. Unfortunately the unit right next door ended up haveing kids. The children were very sweet but running, playing and sceaming on our front porch area, at times it was very loud. We love kids but we were planning on a peaceful getaway with enjoying the ocean sounds and views. The children did no wrong just being kids, but next time I will not do a shared space home, lesson learned. Beautiful home I would definitely stay again with my grandkids!
