Enjoy gradual entry into great swimming, boating and fishing on the 6 connected lakes on the best level of the Rideau Canal. The cottage is very accessible, only one step into the house gets you to the master bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, laundry living room and large wrap-around deck surrounded by water.

Located just down the road from Chaffey's Locks with many amenities including the historic Opinicon Resort, 6 minutes from Highway #15 between Kingston and Ottawa, less than an hour to the US border, and mid-way between Montreal and Toronto.

The area is known for its crystal clear lakes on the Rideau waterway system, the Rideau Canal built in 1832 and North America's oldest continuously operating waterway. The Rideau is designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site and stretches from the Ottawa River to Lake Ontario and the St.Lawrence. A boating and swimming paradise.

Indoor amenities:  A/C, dishwasher, two full-size fridges, rec-room with TV, bathroom and separate entrance, full kitchen, and laundry room. Unlimited high-speed WiFi up to 150 Mbps download speed!

Outdoor amenities: Large wrap-around deck, dock with great swimming and swim ladder, sandy beach area for swimming/launching canoe and kayaks (one canoe, 2 sit-on-top kayaks, one pedal-boat, and one sit-in Kayak included along with life jackets, float boards, noodles).

Bedroom configurations: The master bedroom is huge and has a queen bed and a double futon. This bedroom is on the main level. Of the two upstairs bedrooms, one has a queen bed, and the other has a single bed and a bunk-bed with a double mattress on the bottom and a single mattress on top. The rec-room has a double pull-out sofa bed. The main-floor bathroom has a stand-up shower and jacuzzi tub. Upstairs has a full bath with a stand-up shower and there is a half-bath off the rec-room.

Please note that this is a family vacation spot and we allow a maximum of 8 adults.  For the prime summer weeks, this cottage rents from Saturday to Saturday.
