Contact with the host was excellent. Valery was very nice and helpful. The pictures of her home look like the home on the VRBO SITE, but the property was not what was expected as far as cleanliness and safety IMO, for price. The backyard was a decent size for my two chihuahuas and that was a plus. On the other hand, the neighborhood did not seem to us to be safe as well. There were areas in the home we questioned like locked doors in the hallway downstairs and upstairs that entered into the home from the other side, tie downs on the master bed and the locks on the front door and glass sliding door to the backyard. It’s difficult to tell these things in the photos provided. But, for what we paid to stay there, I expected nicer. We decided to leave immediately and I did contact the host and VRBO about our concerns as well as sending photos. I purchased all the insurance available and did not receive any refunds from the host including our pet fee, for which they didn’t stay in the house, and only a quarter of our cost refunded by VRBO. In addition, we had to pay to stay somewhere else. Therefore, our trip was cut short and we did not have the vacation expected. I hope this helps anyone else in renting the property and their expectations.
