The Hearth is designed to feel instantly welcoming - a warm, earthy space with exposed brick, soft lighting, and rustic textures that echo the building’s 1885 heritage. From the reclaimed-wood dining table to the cozy living area and thoughtfully styled bedroom, every corner is created with comfort and character in mind. True to its name, The Hearth wraps you in warmth. It blends Collingwood’s industrial heritage with nostalgic textures, exposed brick, earthy colours, and reclaimed wood, balanced with modern comfort. It’s a space made for slow mornings, the smell of fresh bread drifting up from below, and easy evenings in the heart of town.
Guests have full access to the suite and the shared interior hallway of The Brick & Beam. The suite is located on the second floor and accessed by stairs from two entry points:
• the main entrance on Hurontario Street
• a rear entrance through the quiet laneway beside the bakery
There is no elevator in the building.
🅿️ Parking:
The Brick & Beam does not offer on-site parking.
However, several municipal lots and side-street parking options are available nearby and can be easily managed using the HotSpot Parking App.
Paid parking is enforced Monday-Friday, 8:00am-6:00pm.
Weekends and statutory holidays are free.
Hurontario Street is $1.50 per hour with a three-hour maximum. Municipal lots and metered side streets are $1.00 per hour with no time limit.
All other public parking is unlimited outside posted restrictions.
• Registered guests only. No unregistered visitors without prior approval.
• No parties, events, or gatherings. This is a quiet heritage building with other guests on-site.
• Quiet hours: 10pm–8am. Please be mindful.
• No smoking or vaping inside the suites or shared hallway. A $300 smoke-remediation fee applies.
• No pets.
• Do not tamper with heritage elements (exposed brick, beams, original wood).
• Fireplaces (where applicable) must not be left running unattended or overnight.
• Shared laundry is available in the hallway - please remove items promptly when finished.
• Garbage & recycling must be placed in the bins outside by the rear entry before checkout.
• Security cameras monitor only the building exterior and shared hallway never inside suites.
• Guests are responsible for any damage or missing items during their stay.
• Stairs only, no elevator. Please keep hallways clear of luggage and belongings.
