Royal Wulff Tiny Home

The Royal Wulff is a custom designed, flexible tiny home locally crafted in Livingston, Montana, designed for guests who want smart use of space and added sleeping capacity. While it shares the same high-quality finishes and thoughtful details as our other tiny home, its layout is entirely different—prioritizing versatility and function within a compact footprint.

Inside, the cabin features a bright, efficiently designed living space with built-in storage and a fully stocked kitchen. High-speed Wi-Fi and a smart TV make it easy to relax and stream your favorite shows at the end of the day.

The sleeping loft is accessed by stairs and, like most tiny home lofts, is intentionally compact with low clearance. In addition to the loft, the Royal Wulff includes a bonus “room” with a queen-size bed that retracts into the ceiling. During the day, the space functions as a comfortable lounge or dining area, and at night it easily transforms into a private, comfortable bedroom—allowing the unit to sleep up to four guests.

Outside, a private deck offers expansive views of the Absaroka-Beartooth Mountains, providing a perfect spot for morning coffee, fresh mountain air, or a quiet evening outdoors.

Perks of camping but the comfort of a home

We stayed at the Royal Wulff on a spring road trip visiting our daughter in Montana and it was easily the highlight of our trip. We stayed one night and wished we had booked longer. The setting is just beautiful. Waking up to sunrise over the valley with coffee (they really thought of everything) and then seeing the stars come out at night from the bedroom!!! made it feel really special. The tiny home itself was wonderfully comfortable and thoughtfully designed, with everything we needed and all the amenities of a standard hotel. Check in can be tricky when you book online but this was a breeze. We especially appreciated the two very comfortable beds- so good we looked up the mattress company for future reference! The whole place felt peaceful and tucked into the landscape in the best way. The location is idealic. We debated staying at Pine Creek, but much preferred this. Close enough to be home in a few minutes but away from late night music/drunk campers. Being within walking distance of excellent rainbow trout fishing on the river is a dream setup if you enjoy the outdoors (my husband caught 4!). Between the scenery, the quiet, and the location, this was our favorite stop of the trip and somewhere we’d gladly return to. Thank you Natalie and EJ!

Even better than the first time

This was my second stay at the Royal Wulff Tiny Home, and it was even better than last time! Natalie and EJ are clearly really invested in the property and are constantly working to make it perfect. Im a Bozeman local and stayed here with my mom for a night while we were in Paradise Valley for a concert at Pine Creek Lodge. The location is perfect, the tiny home is spotless and thoughtfully designed, and the views are incredible. Its such a relaxing little getaway close to home, and I’d happily stay here again. Pro tip: have night cap on the porch under the stars

Hi there! We’re EJ and Natalie, the proud owners of Yellow Stonefly Cabins.

Our journey together started over a decade ago at Montana State University where we discovered our shared passion for the outdoors. Though we both grew up in Colorado—Natalie in the mountain town of Crested Butte and EJ in the cow town of Greeley— Montana has always had our hearts.

EJ has a degree in Fish and Wildlife and has spent years working with Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks, exploring the mountains, rivers, and backroads of this incredible state. He knows these waters like the back of his hand and never passes up an opportunity to fish. Natalie, on the other hand, has spent the last five years managing vacation homes in Big Sky, helping travelers experience the magic of Montana firsthand. Together, we’ve built a life centered around adventure, whether it’s casting a line at sunrise, hiking to a new alpine lake, skiing through fresh powder, or loading up our Airstream for a weekend escape.

No adventure is complete without our two Labrador retrievers, Honey and Bo, who rule our world (and would argue that they actually own the cabins). If you see them trotting around the property, just know they’re on very important business—mostly greeting guests, sniffing out the best trails, and scouting for snacks.

In November of 2024, we took a leap and purchased this special property, fulfilling a dream we’ve had for years. We instantly fell in love with the charm of these cabins and the breathtaking setting of Paradise Valley, and we knew we wanted to create a space where others could experience the same sense of peace and adventure that we feel here.

We have big plans in store—from exciting new additions to thoughtful little spruce-ups—all with the goal of making Yellow Stonefly Cabins an even more welcoming and beautiful retreat. This summer will be a busy one, but we’re embracing every moment of it, and we can’t wait to share this journey with you
