Great beachfront location with loads of room-needs to be updated

This is a great spot if you are planning on primarily beaching it during your stay in Cadiz. The beach is very nice. Unfortunately our view was obscured by some unplanned construction on the building and we left a day early, but the owners did give us a one night refund and didn't fight us on it. There were a couple of roaches that were there, but I know in these environments they can't be completely avoided and maybe the construction brought them out. The place needs a refurbish. It looks like it was furnished in the 60s and has a grandma feel. With that being said, the kitchen was super nice, it was comfortable, and had plenty of space for us. It was a 2 mile walk into the old town Cadiz, which we didn't mind but we had no idea that we were so far away from the center of things. If you need a large place for the beach, this is a great location.

Holibu lovely . But was totally reliant on the landlord. Always referred me back to him.Firstly we were aware when we walked past before we moved in there was a huge amount of scaffolding that blocked part of the feature window. Landlord said he was unaware. But we know now he was untruthful because it’s been up since June confirmed by two people. Next - a big old apartment very expensive. Photos very deceiving. Place is full of mould. Bathrooms awful. Loads of things do not work. I have a record in photos which I’ve sent to the landlord. Sheets not great. All crumply. Poor pillows. Lack of side lights No change of sheets after a week couldn’t do them myself. The dryer had no heat. Bulbs not working hoover or lights on microwave. Socket broken. Just so dirty. Ruined our family Xmas. Girls flew home. We moved back to the old town through Cadiz4Rentals. You are talking a whole new standard. Clean! So apart from one amazing sunset avoiding the scaffolding it gets 1 out of 10 from us. Landlord has all the photos on WhatsApp.

A lovely place to stay

We spent a lovely week in the apartment. The views of the ocean are amazing and there are wonderful places to eat and shop in the neighbourhood. The apartment is a delightful walk along the ocean away from the centre of the city. It also has pretty much everything you will need for your stay.The one thing that keeps it from being a five star review is the complex and awkward way the apartment is administered. VRBO immediately handed over the contract to another company, creating concerns over how any problems might be handled. We were asked to pay that company directly, not via VRBO. Happily there weren't any issues but it was not the relationship I was expecting. In addition, the owner wanted a 300 Euro deposit. There wasn't any problem with getting it back but the process of transferring money from a Canadian bank and back triggered several fees that ate into the amount. I would still rent the apartment again despite this (it really is lovely) but it's good to go in being aware that it will be required.

Beach Front - Beautiful Cadiz

We want to start off by saying that we hesitate to leave a rave & wonderful review. Our reasoning is we love this home so much we hope to return and now we are worried that once everyone finds this Special Gem of a place, we will lose our opportunity to stay due to vacancy availability going forward. That being said, here is the review... We searched high & low for the absolute best home to stay in Cadiz and now we have found it! This Cadiz beach front apartment hosted by Juan Carlos is the most beautiful home combined with best real estate location you will find in Cadiz! This home sits steps away from the Gulf of Cadiz with the most electric beach in Spain. This is a very large home that is warm and very comfortable. The views day & night are the most beautiful we have ever experienced. We were fortunate to have stayed on the first level of this beautiful home with a balcony fit for a King & Queen. We were so happy and content staying home & on property due to the wonderful amenities of this home. We cooked every meal, we relaxed on our balcony view, we witnessed the most beautiful and awe inspiring sunsets and were warmly welcomed by the locals and fellow visitors while we strolled along the beach & boardwalk. The large living area along with the extremely large “Panoramic" sliding glass window made for an unbelievable view. The private view from the sun room was as equally breathtaking! The home & property are wonderful!

Una estancia muy agradable.

Hemos pasado varios días muy a gusto en este piso, que es muy espacioso, luminoso y cómodo en todas sus estancias. Tiene la cocina muy bien equipada. Las camas son confortables, y el salón tiene lo necesario para pasar unas veladas agradables. La situación frente a la playa es inmejorable. Nos recibió muy amablemente Juan Carlos. Esa misma noche surgieron un par de problemas en la casa, que supo solucionar inmediatamente, por lo que le estamos muy agradecidos. Cuando volvamos a Cádiz intentaremos repetir.
