Poor quality

Elevator was quick and location was good. Bathrooms have significant mold in and around the showers. I went to make breakfast and all of the pots and pans were dirty to the point I felt they were unsanitary to cook with.

Big Sky condo

Great location! Included nearby parking which was great when we needed car. Great updates kitchen , which we used a lot ! The reason for 4 stars is we didn’t find this as “ski out” as advertised. That is why we picked this condo . BUT…you’re steps from the village and lifts out the back basement door and it included ski valet for free. So you didn’t have to lug the skis back if you wanted to check them on the slopes . There is also no washer/dryer which we knew about in advance . Just be aware if you need laundry there’s also NONE available to you in the building .

Has been better

This is our third stay at this property and there were just a few things that weren't quite up to snuff this time. There was broken glass and pretzel pieces on the floor. We were only provided with a single wash cloth and hand towel total for all of us to share. We called to get at least enough for everyone in our party to have one and that never happened. There were also no towels or wash cloths for the kitchen. Made it work washing dishes with paper towels. We also had a towel in the master bathroom with a giant mildew stain on it. We love the hottub and the proximity to the slopes. It just wasn't quite there on the service side this time.

Great location and spacious, but….

It would’ve been so easy for them to make this perfect… some cleaning supplies, inside hooks, maybe a crockpot, broom, larger trashcan. Should’ve had better communication with the resort as we had a hard time getting into the parking lot because the codes changed and also our keys did not work for the health club.

Wonderful family vacation

We loved this property. The loft is unique to the 7th floor and provided extra space for our family of 6 to spread out. So nice to have VRBO things like olive oil and salt and pepper in the cupboards after 2 years of the pandemic. The location and view cannot be beat and the hot tube and pool were a winter hit. We will certainly be back. One aside, which has nothing to do with this property in particular, but it would be great if the Shoshone made recycling easier. There are a handful of recycling receptacles throughout the Big Sky Resort itself, but nothing in the condos. So unfortunately everything went in the trash.

Overcharged

This is a very nice condo but there were problems with our unit: many light fixtures in the living area needed replacement bulbs, had to ask for dishwasher detergent, badly needed working humidifiers for dry air and was told vacasa does not provide, went Friday to Monday with smelly kitchen garbage - no pick up on weekends, blanket for sleeper sofa was filthy with stains, broken can opener, appalled that Montana does not recycle- at least that is what I was told. While there was some response to correct these things, given the expense of the unit, there should have been no issues at all. I did not realize when I booked this unit that I was paying a hefty fee to both vacasa and vrbo plus 3 sepatate taxes. By the time I was billed all the fees charged, I was paying 30% of the rental fee. I will never do this again! Very abusive. I will book next time directly with the resort property, same $ and at least we will get robes to wear to the pool!

Excellent stay for a ski holiday

Very nice, clean apartment with everything we needed. Plenty of space, fully stocked kitchen and quiet condo was perfect for our family. Great location in the middle of the base village with convenient ski storage. We would definitely stay there again.

Excellent and spacious

We loved our stay in Shoshone 1981 and would definitely rebook. Very spacious, comfortable, and beautiful views. There are just a few things that would make it slightly better. I still gave five stars because these are kind of nit-picky :) 1. Please invest in better knives for the kitchen and a vegetable peeler. I could not peel a cucumber for our salad. 2. A little folder with details about the resort would be nice touch. Restaurants, pool access, ski storage (basement and/or right by the lifts), shopping, etc. 3. A few hooks under the stairs to hang helmets or jackets would be great. Thank you so much! We hope to visit Big Sky again soon.

Great views of the ski slopes.

Loved watching the deer on the slopes in the morning, and afternoon. Spacious condo with great amenities. So nice to be able to prepare our own meals, as many of the restaurants are closed or had limited availability.

Great location just steps from lifts. Easy no contact check in and room was ready and clean as promised. Great outside heated pool and having the coffee shop in lobby was handy.
