Ce tarif de base est valable pour jusqu'à 16 personnes! Cette propriété de 15 acres est incroyable avec plus de 800 pieds de rivière privée et aucun voisin visible de partout sur les 15 acres! Il s'agit d'une maison de 7 chambres avec 3 salons, salle de lavage / séchage (*** AVEC 2 NOUVELLES MACHINES POUR LAVEUSE À CHARGE FRONTALE INSTALLÉES EN FÉVRIER 2019 ***), 3 ponts, salle de jeux avec table de billard et salle de jacuzzi. Cuisine, salle à manger, 3 salles de bain et buanderie sur 15 acres avec 250 mètres de propriété privée au bord du fleuve et une allée boisée de 1/3 mile de long. TV directe, DSL (Internet le plus rapide de la région!) Internet, WIFI. Le Lodge possède des boiseries et des panneaux muraux locaux coupés sur mesure fabriqués dans notre ancienne scierie circulaire à lame de scie !!! Plancher de bois franc et carrelage. Conçu pour être très rustique et authentique mais moderne (avec le chauffage central / climatisation nouvellement installé pour un confort toute l'année). Regardez la vidéo de la vue depuis le pont arrière! Deux téléviseurs intelligents à écran plat (60 'dans le salon n ° 1 et 50' dans la salle de jeux ((*** La salle de jeux vient de recevoir une NOUVELLE NOUVELLE SMART TV 50 "en février 2019)) !!!

Salle de jeux: réfrigérateur, table de billard et tables de ping-pong. Oeuvre d'art personnalisée réalisée par un artiste local, certaines œuvres d'art sont à vendre (l'oeuvre d'art est vraiment incroyable dans cette maison!). Interurbain national américain gratuit depuis le téléphone fixe. Deux barbecues au charbon de bois sur mesure (fabriqués par l'un des propriétaires de son atelier de fer! " près du foyer extérieur sur le pont et le patio donnant sur la rivière. Sentiers locaux (Old Habron Gap, google it!) accéder à la crête de Massanutten Mountain à pied ou vous pouvez conduire la distance de Captain's Lodge sur les rapides! Luray Caverns est à seulement 18 km du Captain's Lodge on the Rapids; plusieurs autres cavernes sont accessibles en voiture. DO NOT STAY HERE - Health, Safety, and False AdvertisingWe booked this property expecting a relaxing holiday for our group of 15, but it was an absolute nightmare. We want a full refund.First, the hygiene and pest issues are severe. The inside was infested with rats, bugs, and spiders everywhere-a massive health hazard. When we initially turned on the bathroom taps, dirty yellow water poured out. We felt so disgusted and uncomfortable that we avoided the house entirely during the day and only returned at night just to sleep.Safety is clearly not a priority here. The balcony railings had rusted nails and splintered wood poking out. The glass on the ceiling fan was literally held together by tape, which is a huge safety concern for the kids in our group.Basic privacy and amenities were non-existent. Out of 3 bathrooms, 2 had no locks on the doors, making it terrible for a large group. The advertised Jacuzzi was completely broken, and opening it released a horrific sewer water smell. The entire exterior was incredibly dirty, with broken seating arrangements and all grills unusable except for one single gas grill.Finally, the listing boasts about being a "Riverfront" property. In reality, getting toward the water requires navigating 70 dangerous stairs, and even then, there is no actual path to the river.They charged a premium rate for what turned out to be a hazardous, dilapidated property. This was definitely not the vacation we paid for, and it is not worth it.

Our group of 16 was shocked by how disgusting, unsafe, and poorly maintained this rental was. The listing was extremely misleading.The house was filthy, with visible BLACK MOLD, thick dust, MICE droppings, and even a mouse during our stay. Almost everything felt like a health hazard. Many kitchen items looked dirty before use, and most pots and pans were unusable.Several amenities were broken, including the jacuzzi, microwave, and pool table equipment. A skylight leaked water into the house, and the smoke detector was not even properly installed — it was sitting on top of the RUSTED refrigerator.Outside was even worse. The property looked more like a junkyard than a vacation rental, with broken grills, clutter, damaged furniture, and dangerous decking with chipped wood sticking out. The backyard also had a SINKHOLE-like hole roughly 4 feet wide that could seriously injure a child.It is unbelievable that VRBO still allows properties in this condition to be advertised. A rental with black mold, rodent droppings, leaking ceilings, broken safety equipment, and dangerous outdoor HAZARDS should never be listed for families.The owner brought a replacement grill and microwave, but that does not excuse the overall condition of the property.This home needs major repairs, professional cleaning, pest control, and mold remediation before anyone should stay here!!! It was overpriced, unsafe, and honestly should not be available for rent in its current condition. Few of us end up SICK!

This was honestly everything we hoped it would be! Beautiful landscape, river access, plenty of space at the Captains Lodge to relax and enjoy yourself or play games with the family. We enjoyed the entire stay! Internet was not great, but also we were fine with unplugging and just enjoying the nature. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys playing in the river and having BBQ and campfires with the comfort of an amazing house to rest your head (:

Beautiful Location

Although the home was a little dated, we had a wonderful time together with plenty of space. The main room was large enough for everyone to be in w/o being crowded. The host responded quickly to any questions we had. I would recommend it to other large groups if you are not looking for new and modern.

It is a great location, with lots to do inside and out. The game room provided hours of entertainment. Plenty of private spaces for more intimate conversations. The waterfront was phenomenal. The owners were very responsive with questions and concerns, very friendly and helpful. We had 8 families with 8 teenage girls who found lots of things to do! I would recommend for large groups.

Family reunion fun

The property was spacious and had a great view of the river! Sadly the Jacuzzi wasn’t working and the pool sticks were locked up due to a previous guest’s misdeeds. But our family had a great weekend of cooking out, hiking, rafting and antiquing to suit everyone’s tastes. It was a big success!

Just what was needed

It was an amazing property. Secluded and quite just as advertised. The house and furniture are a little dated but for our group it was comfortable, we are not a group of fancy. Plus who cares, get out in nature and out of the house. Pool table and ping pong table were nice. Plenty of room and privacy for all guest. The outdoor setup with the open pedestal grill right next to the fire pit was amazing. We are already planning another trip. The price matched the property, the scenery alone was worth the price. There was no worry of waking neighbors so we could be as aloud as needed. The place was awesome and was just what we needed.

Outdated cabin

We had a great time however the VRBO description is not current. The house is very dated, cobwebs in all the corners, water is not easily accessible, the jacuzzi does not work, the air conditioning does not cool the entire house and there aren’t screens in all the windows so we couldn’t even open them to cool the house, the basement bathroom tub has a soft spot that seemed very unsafe.. I think if the house was cleaner and maybe just maintained a little better it would be great.

Wonder getaway

Everything was as described. The house is huge and comfortable for 16 people to have their own space. AC worked as it should. It does get colder in the basement but upstairs was cold too. We counted 72 stairs to get down to the river. There are snakes and raccoons so bring a stick with you if youre outside just in case. Any questions or concerns we had were quickly answered by Ben. There is a security deposits to use the pool table. We didnt use the hot tub because we were mostly in the river. Becareful, there alot of slippery rocks.
