You will be accompanied by the scent of herbs from the lush vegetation, birdsong and fresh, iodised sea air. For history buffs, there are also numerous museums, archaeological sites and artefacts to explore to familiarise you with ancient Greek culture. Take a trip to Kassandra, where the traditional market takes place, to Meteora, to the Pella theatre and open-air concert, to the ancient archaeological site of Olynthos or to the famous cave in Petralona. Athitos, a newly awakened, traditional stone-built village with cobbled alleys and marvellous panoramic spots and bathing bays, is also worth a visit. The town centre is approx. 700 m away on foot for shopping facilities.
