Our holiday apartment is located on the ground floor of the Schulze organ builder's house, which was built in 1850. The house is located near the Paulinzella monastery ruins, one of the largest and most beautiful Romanesque churches in Germany. The Schulze family was a renowned organ builder family, which built organs for the Merseburg Cathedral, the St. Marien Church in Rudolstadt, and the Castle Church in Altenburg, among others.

- It all began with Hans Heinrich Schulze, who lived in Solsdorf in the 17th century and was the first organ builder of the family. His sons Elias and Johann Heinrich Schulze followed in his footsteps and were also skilled as carpenters.
- The grandson of Hans Heinrich Schulze, Johann Daniel Schulze, moved the company headquarters from Solsdorf to Milbitz in 1750. He was the father of Johann Andreas Schulze, who held the title "FĂŒrstlich schwarzburgischer und grĂ€flich priviligierter Orgelbauer". He built, among other things, the organ for the St. Marien Church in Stadtilm.
- The son of Johann Andreas Schulze, Johann Friedrich Schulze, was the most famous organ builder in the family.
