Une villa au bord de la piscine, nouvellement construite à un niveau élevé avec tout le confort pour la vie moderne et le charme du style toscan traditionnel. Deux chambres doubles communicantes avec climatisation et salle de bain avec douche complètent l'aménagement du premier étage. Au rez-de-chaussée, il y a une grande cuisine / salon. La cuisine familiale est bien équipée et vous trouverez deux canapés confortables dans le salon. Dehors, il y a une terrasse privée avec table et chaises, barbecue à gaz, grand barbecue en bois, et un excellent accès à la piscine. Grand jardin à disposition, avec vue imprenable. Cet hébergement est vivement recommandé aux familles ou aux couples.

Beautiful place for relaxing

It was a great place for relaxing. The road to the villa was a little bit tricky for the first time, but afterwards it was no problem. Pool is perfect, especially for our kids. The garden with the terrace is perfect for a relaxing holidays. Volterra is very close to the villa (30 minutes to walk).

Paradise!

This property is truly a paradise! Our hosts were wonderful! Everything was as described in the listing and it was a perfect country retreat to relax at the end of our Italy adventure. Our hosts were very helpful, communicative and welcoming. They were always available when needed but also left us to enjoy the property ourselves. It was very easy to get to Volterra proper but felt miles away. Peace and tranquility surrounded us and we hope to return in the future. Our heartfelt thanks to Sara and her husband for a fantastic stay!

Lovely!

Villa and gardens are great! Sara's cooking is lovely! The owners prefer you not to splash in the jacuzzi or splash and jump in the pool so bear in mind if you take children. The internet did not work in the house for the week we were there. The access road to the villa is very steep but worth it when you get there.

Glorious Tuscany experience!

Came for a conference in Volterra and was so pleased that we found this home. I enjoyed my walk up to the walled city each morning and all of us loved getting away from the bustle to enjoy the country home and the amazing garden, jacuzzi, fire pit, and VIEWS!!! Sara was an absolute joy (excellent advice, warm presence), Antonio rescued us several times (with luggage and with our car!) and Camilla was so sweet sharing her chicken's eggs with us (hope she is enjoying her new chicks!). We highly recommend this rental and hope to return in the future.

Ein rundum perfekter Ort um Urlaub zu machen

Das Haus ist ein absoluter Traum. Die Vermieterin steckt unglaublich viel liebe sowohl in das Haus als auch in den umliegenden Garten. Es ist alles sehr sauber, sehr gepflegt & die Küche ist top ausgestattet. Die Vermieterin hat uns viele tolle Tips gegeben was man in Volterra alles unternehmen kann, sogar mit frischen Eiern von Hühner aus dem Garten wurden wir verwöhnt! Die Unterkunft ist absolut zu empfehlen.

Wunderschönes Urlaubsdomizil in sehr abgeschiedener Lage

Der Pool und das kleine Häuschen (Max. 4 Personen!) liegen in sehr abgeschiedener Lage ganz ruhig. Alles sauber und eine sehr freundliche Vermieterin. Wir hatten schöne Urlaubstage. Der Check-In um 16 Uhr sowie der Check-Out um 10 Uhr musste genau eingehalten werden. Es war kein Pool-Aufenthalt davor bzw. danach möglich. Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert!

Pretty setting but several issues and uncomfortable accommodations

Several issues made it difficult for us to enjoy our time here, so much so that we left two days early. It's fair for guests know these in advance, especially since they are not described on VRBO and are contrary to the description of a “high standard” accommodation with “all the comforts of modern living.” • The drive to the property includes a section that is unlit, narrow, on gravel, with a drop on one side, i.e., not a regular "country road” given the drop. • Outside of a few motion-activated lights (i.e., turn on as you walk by, do not stay on), the lights in the pool area were on a timer that required us to hold a device and push its button every 5 min. to turn them back on.) • Outside of two motion-activated lights on the lawn area around it, the Jacuzzi area itself had no lights, including no lights inside the Jacuzzi and no decorative lights on the wall. The VRBO photos of this aren't accurate, e.g., one of them shows the Jacuzzi in an open area, while it does have a roof. • We were quoted an additional 40 euro a day to heat the Jacuzzi. The water was mildly warm the first night, after 5 hours of waiting, and not warm at all the second night. • The AC turned on but its cooling system did not work. • There were no screens in the doors, and many wasps around the house. • The internet was spotty and there was almost no reception in the balcony. We were quoted a limit of 10 gigs for our stay (not a problem for us, but stating it in case it would be for you.) This meant that we were restricted from going to dinner in neighboring towns (we felt it was was an unsafe drive once the sun set), we were not able to enjoy the pool area or Jacuzzi in the evenings, which was the biggest draw for us to begin with (having to press a button every 5 minutes for lights was not viable, and without lights the area was just not inviting), and we slept poorly (let wasps in along with the fresh air, or close doors but sleep in a hot room). Sarah was very nice and responsive, but outside of making the internet work (it didn't when we arrived), she couldn't be helpful, e.g., Jacuzzi couldn't be warmer, those were the only lights. Her husband showed irritation and frustration when talking to us (spoke fast and loud, made rude comments), making it hard for us to voice our concerns. Given these issues and considering the accommodations (tiny bathroom, one bedroom inside the other) despite the pretty setting we would have never paid above peak for this property.

Very Child Friendly

We had a great time! Sara was really really helpful. She provided 2 cots, 2 highchairs and even some toys for the pool. We had a nightmare of a journey getting there and Sara was really understanding and helpful. The pool was lovely and warm and the air con was amazing. We were in the villa furthest away from the pool- which suited us with toddlers, but it was a steep climb down if you had any walking issues. We will be back!

We were a returning visitor to Villa Colle for 8 nights last month (August 2015)and really cannot fault it. Sara and Antonio are the most attentive and obliging owners/hosts and nothing is too much trouble. The air-conditioning is a life-saver in the Summer heat. We had the same problem with the internet mentioned elsewhere, but a visit from the local internet-fixit man seemed to do the trick (Italian internet can be a little fickle, it seems!) The pool is fantastic for adults and kids (ours are 11 and 7), especially as it’s the same depth throughout; the newly-installed Jacuzzi is a lovely treat for the grown-ups (the kids were under strict instructions that it wasn’t for dive-bombing). Volterra is close by (a real boon), as well as being a great base for exploring. We’ll be back again! Thank you Sara and Antonio for making our stay every year so special.

This property is even nicer than the description. Spotlessly clean with lots of thoughtful touches which made it much more attractive than the usual holiday let. The gardens and the pool area are beautiful and maintained by the owners to the same high standard as the villa. However the real joy of this accommodation is the family who own it and live on site and are always available to help in any way. Antonio and Sara with their little daughter Camilla are an absolute joy to stay with and we arrived as guests and left as friends. We have stayed all over Tuscany for the last 12 years and this was certainly our best time. We are almost reluctant to write such a glowing review as it would be nice to keep this place secret. Volterra has lots of nice restaurants and cafe/bars and a really delicious patisserie for coffee and cake. We rarely stay in the same place twice but this place is worth the exception.

Excellent Accommodations and Location

Situated just outside the walled city of Volterra, Villa Colle is a perfect home base for exploring Tuscany by car. The Villa is fully equipped, including a barbecue, washer, pool and a balcony with spectacular views. Sara and Antonio are welcoming hosts who are available for help and advice. The walk into Volterra is only 20 minutes and 10 min on the way back downhill. Make sure that you take the time to enjoy the many interesting sites in Volterra. Staying at Villa Colle really made our vacation perfect!

Lovely Villa Colle

We arrived at Villa Colle and were greeted by Sara and Antonio who couldn't have made us feel more welcome. Sara had e-mailed us a few days before we set off, asking if we needed anything getting in, or any help in any way, which was a nice personal touch. Villa Colle is, in a nutshell, superb! It is newly built, but has lots of character, very tastefully decorated, and finished to a high standard. It is located at the end of a long farm track, well away from any built up areas, which offers it a very peaceful and tranquil feel. Set up high on the hills, the veiw is magnificent, especially when relaxing on the terrace, with a glass of local red wine. If you fancy a night in, after tramping around Siena all day, there is a wide screen tv, a DVD with USB input, also a mini hifi with CD and USB input. The only down side was that we had to come home.
