Although I have visited NO many times, this was my first stay in the Marigny, that district which borders the French Quarter. The apartment was exceedingly quiet on an equally quiet and lovely street. It is about a 10 or 15 minute walk to the lower Quarter and just a few minutes to the music clubs on Frenchmen street. The apartment is beautifully decorated with high end bedding and top line toiletries. There is a library of fascinating books about the history and architecture of NO. I particularly enjoyed reading "Eat Dat", a quirky discussion with local gossip about many of the cities famous restaurants. Laura met me for check-in and all went smoothly from then on.....Highly recommended !

We had a wonderful weekend stay! Just a couple blocks away from Frenchmen St, Ruby Slipper right around the corner, and a short walk to the great food and fun in French Quarter. Room was very comfortable and clean. We had our own private entrance. The host was very responsive and helpful when we had issues with the lockbox at check in. There were also snacks and water in the room - very thoughtful! A great weekend stay!

Parking was easy, across the street. Walking distance to French Quarter and Marigny neighborhoods. Beautiful older home with gorgeous period decor. Hosts very responsive.

Everything we needed. Comfy bed, plenty of places to sit and relax. Able to walk to the French Quarter, had a great breakfast at the Ruby Slipper. Not a complaint, just a suggestion. Shore head could use updating and I wish the tv was in the sitting area. Hubby likes to get up early and watch. Very minor and wouldn’t keep us from coming again.

Marigny Hidden Gem

My husband & I stayed two wonderful nights in this Marigny Hidden Gem. The owners live on the property in the back of the house. The guest suite is in the front of the house & extremely private. The owners have decorated the guest suite just lovely with the front window overlooking the street.It is in walking distance to Frenchmen Street, which offers so many bars, clubs & restaurants to enjoy. There are several morning brunch cafes within a few blocks of the property as well. We either walked or Ubered everywhere we went during our weekend stay.I would highly recommend this hidden gem as your next stay in the Marigny Triangle!

Wonderful!

Great, cozy place, responsive and helpful host. As many others noted, it is close to the action but not right smack in the middle of tourist central. It feels like — and is — a real neighborhood.

Darling Suite in Lovely Home in Very Walkable Neighborhood

The pictures are very accurate but fail to illustrate the warm hospitality details throughout from coffee to snacks and toiletries. The host greeted us thoughtfully when I was fumbling with the lock box as they live on site in the lovely home. The suite itself is private with a welcoming shared hallway to both the main residence and guest suite. The suite is generously sized and very comfortable and clean.

Great Location and Quiet Neighborhood

We had a great weekend trip and enjoyed the location of the property and appreciated how quiet it was. While there is a breakfast spot close - you should definitely try Ayu Bakehouse but be sure to arrive early! Very nice property and very clean and well maintained.

This is the Place!

This was our second stay at this property, so obviously we rate it highly. All the positives of our first stay were confirmed. Friendly, welcoming hosts. Great location, The French Quarter, the music clubs on Frenchmen Street, many restaurants, all within easy walking distance. Tastefully decorated with period furnishings. And much more. You won't be disappointed.

Great Location Great Communication

Stayed a week. Easy to to Frenchmen St, French Market, and Bourbon. Trolley stop just blocks away. Walgreens nearby very handy. Owners know what they have, it is beautiful. Great Stay!

If looking for friendly host in merging near Frenchmen’s street and the quarter but out of the tourist traffic you can’t do better Laura has put a lot of thought into the place

Perfect getaway

My wife and I stayed here for several days. The property was great; clean, cozy and the location was perfect for us to head out walking the neighborhoods. Laura was very nice and extremely responsive. We had to receive an urgent fed ex while we were traveling and they were extremely helpful in getting the package to us.When it arrived at their address. Highly recommend this spot! Would definitely stay here again.

Cozy + Clean Cottage in Great area

This place was exceptionally cozy. Host really takes pride in their rental and taking care of their guests. Very clean with easy access. In perfect location for doing everything. Quick walk to trolly. Right around the corner from Frenchman and everywhere else. Highly recommend

Great To Be Back!

This was our first trip back to New Orleans since 2019. We were fortunate to be able to stay in this cozy, yet roomy apartment in the Marigny. We enjoyed all the comforts of the apartment, including owner supplied delicious coffee, drinks and snacks. It is located in a friendly, quiet neighborhood near Frenchmen Street and the French Quarter. We highly recommend this VRBO for your next trip to the Big Easy.
