Our stay at Countess

This property presented well, was clean and tidy, but the decor was dated and needs some re-decorating. The bathroom door wouldn’t close properly.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our unit (unit 7) was somewhat disappointing. Although the building is in a good location, facing the golf course & Montague Island unit 7’s view is impeded by a brick wall. The bathroom is very pokey. The unit is tired & needs new furniture, particularly the lounge suite. There were stains including a blood stain on the couch. The appliances were good although there wasn’t a hair dryer.

The beds very comfortable and fresh linen. Golf course across the road a surf beach down the road with a great cafe, all 1 min from our front door. This unit is a great stay. We will be back soon.

A great place to stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The place is located at the top of the hill with an easy walk to the main street with access to good options for a meal. The view of Montague Island is great and the small balcony has an excellent aspect. It is set back a bit it on the property so there are some obstructions but it still feels open and the view really is a feature.The building itself is quite dated but the unit has been very well maintained with everything working fine with new appliances, it's the decor that needs an update. The bed was comfortable and overall it is quite spacious. The unit is quiet as the noise from the other units was minimal and there was no road noise.The big negative is the lack of WiFi which is staggering and speaks to a lack of recent investment in the property. The other negatives are the hidden extra costs like the linen bag which didn't even include linen for all the beds, the booking fee and the cleaning fee.Overall I'd be very happy to come back to this property as it was a lovely place.

Great Location.

Just a few little things - had to buy bedside light globes as they were broken. Cold water tap in bathroom over sink runs - needs new washer. Stayed at this property more than once, great location - walking distance to Golf Club and Beaches.
