5 bedroom luxury VILLA sleeping 10 furnished and equipped to the highest of standards. Our rental registration Number is VTF/HU/00026
The property overlooks the Nuevo Portil golf course hole 9 and 10 with a private pool and garden. Main building with three bedrooms and two bathrooms plus annex over the Mediterranean courtyard with two bedrooms and bathroom (ideal for older children or grandparents)
Only 15 minutes walk from miles of unspoilt coastline. This Spanish resort is ideal for year round golf and beach holidays.
The Sunday Telegraph on the 24th February 2008 stated ' Huelva has some of the best beaches in Europe' and we agree.
Will rent out main house only that sleeps upto 6 outside peak holiday season, please enquire for rates.


Local area: Within 10 minutes walk of Villa Limonero is a selection of local shops a small supermarket/ bars/restaurants and miles of fantastic unspoilt BEACH. There are larger supermarkets in Punta Umbria and Cartaya(about 15 minutes by car), you will be sent our full local information after booking or please email and I will gladly forward to you by return.

Beach and activities: Nuevo Portil beach is very suitable for young children, as the Fleche del Rompido, protects the beach from the high winds and rough currents of the Atlantic ocean. The beach stretches for 14Km and is backed by juniper woods and sand dunes.
The vast woodland is very popular for activity tourism like rambling, cycling and horse riding. Bike hire and Horse riding are is available locally per hour, half day or all day.
On the road into Cartaya you will also find the Kartodromo de Cartaya (Carting track) open year round and the very popular Aquopolis (water park) which opens normally the middle of June until first week in September.

Places of interest : HUELVA : The most visited attraction in Huelva is Muelle de las Carabelas, a wharf where you can see replicas of the Pinta, Nina and Santa Maria and from which Columbus sailed to discover the Americas. A visit to the Monastery at La Rabida is very interesting this is where Columbus planned his journey.
DONANA: One of Spain’s loveliest national parks and one of the largest dune areas in Europe, it is a World Heritage Site.
SEVILLE: The capital of Andalucia and the seat of the Andalucian Parliament. The truly wonderful city, the Plaza de Toros, the Cathedral and the Giralda tower with amazing views of the city from the top, Royal palace, the Santa Cruz quarter with it’s narrow streets and small squares full of flowers and charm. are all worth a visit. SIERRA DE ARACENA: Villages of white houses set amidst woods of holm and cork oak- above all the best cured ham in Spain known as Jabugo.
EL ROCIO: Famous for the annual Rocio Pilgrimage is a strange outpost of the wild west

Just had a fantastic holiday in Villa Limonero. The villa had everything we needed, a great pool and lovely outside areas. Being able to walk to the beach and so many excellent and reasonably priced restaurants was brilliant. The Paella at Meson La Tablita was a real highlight! The villa manager was also very helpful. Would love to visit again.

Lovely well equipped villa

We stayed in the main house only. It was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The outside pool area was great. It was a very good base for exploring the area and we would stay here again without hesitation.

Family Break

The property configuration worked well for accommodating three generations comprising 4 adults and 3 children. Five in the main house and two adults in the annex. The villa was clean and well equipped and although only the end of May the pool was well used by all generations. Our host was extremely helpful answering queries very efficiently and the information file at the villa contains a great deal of useful information about the area. The villa is in a peaceful and quiet location and at this time of year it we had no difficulty in finding a table at any of the restaurants in the local area.

Excellent villa

We had a fab family holiday (5 adults, 4 children) at Villa Limonera, it suited all our needs perfectly. The villa is clean, really well equipped and very spacious. We loved the pool, bbq and large outside eating area. The villa is well situated to explore this lovely area. Fabulous long, clean beaches, great wee towns - Cartaya, El Rompido nearby. Also easy to go into Huelva and Seville and well worth it. The kids enjoyed the Christopher Columbus museum with full size replica ships at La Rabida. We had great contact from Jill the owner who will answer all questions and received a lovely welcome from Pam and Gordon at villa. We would go back, fab villa and so much still to see and do. Highly recommend.

Magnifique villa dans une non moins magnifique pinède

Villa très confortable située à la limite du golf de Nuevo Portil . Cette villa possède un corps principal et une annexe reliés par un magnifique patio. Tout est fait pour passer un agréable séjour. La piscine côté golf et sa très grande terrasse sont de nature à prévoir beaucoup de calme et de confort. L'extérieur appelle à composer une cuisine d'été faite de barbecue et d'invitation d"'amis. Très belle maison.

Casa Maravillosa! Hemos pasado una semana con amigos, ya que nuestros hijos jugaban el campeonato de España de baloncesto en Huelva. La casa es muy cómoda, el jardín y la piscina muy bonito, parte del mobiliario exterior necesita ser renovado, pero la verdad que hemos estado muy a gusto y la recomendamos muchísimo!

SEMANA FANTÁSTICA

Fuimos un grupo de padres al campeonato de España Junior de baloncesto y buscábamos un alojamiento común para convivir y cercano a Huelva y Punta Umbría a ver los partidos. La casa cumplió con las expectativas, acogedora, bien equipada en cocina para organizar comidas o cenas, bien situada, (zona tranquila entre pinares y campo de golf), cerca de las playas y zonas de restauración. La única pega seria, renovar los colchones de las camas y mobiliario. El polideportivo estaba abierto, pero incomprensiblemente no dejaban jugar ni al padel ni al tenis...

Prima vakantie locatie

De ruime villa was zeer compleet ingericht en was van alle gemakken voorzien. Genoten van de ligbedden aan het zwembad De locatie aan de rand van Nuevo Portil was een goed uitgangspunt voor het bezoeken van andere locaties in de buurt alsook naar het strand.

Such a gem

This house has everything to make you feel at home in a paradise-like setting. Very clean and very comfortable (a special mention for the good mattress). The owners are very attentive and friendly. The pool is gorgeous (the pool shower even has warm water). It's such a pleasure to hang out in the patio or on the terrace. Can't wait to go back there.

Villa el limonero

Lo mejor de la casa el jardín y la piscina, la casa amplia y cumpliendo nuestras expectativas pero el menaje de la casa escaso y los muebles muy deteriorados, el sofá del salón incomodisimo. La ropa de casa escasa, algunas camas no tenían sábana encimera y no han dejado ni un juego de sábanas de más por si ocurría algún percance, solo dos paños de cocina para los cinco días que hemos estado allí. Y ya para terminar, algún colchón debería ser sustituido.

My agent or myself both very approachable was never contacted re these concerns to try and resolve. The house is equipped for 10 and bed linen is provide for 10. If a rental requires an extra change (other than if included on longer stays) it is possible at a fee. Please see the 5* review from the guest who stayed the week before and many of my previous guests. Any concerns I would be more than happy to let guests have contact details for a past guest.

Fantastic location and really excellent property

The property was excellent, well equipped, safe and comfortable for a large family - 8 adults and 2 babies - with all the space to be together and privacy when needed. The location was excellent with forest at the front and golf course behind, situated in a small Spanish town. There are miles of beautiful safe beaches with lots of on beach cafes, forest trails, kayaking etc., with Cadiz, Jerez, Seville within a 2 hour drive away. We will go back and stay here again in the future as we loved it and there is still more to explore, including a trip over to Portugal as the boarder is so close!

Vacaciones en el Nuevo Portil

Casa muy bonita, salon perfecto y dormitorios tambien. Cocina con todos utensilios necesarios y dos para el café! Jardín y piscina perfectos y el jardin bien cuidado. Mesas para comer en el salon, en el jardín y también una muy grande en el patio en la entrada.

We purchased 2 townhouses on the Nuevo Portil Golf course in 2003 and soon realised that we wanted a forever home in the area, so chose the plot and build style to suit our family.
We hope one day to make it our home but currently we can only visit in school holidays!

Nuevo Portil is a very Spanish and family friendly resort with the benefit of a sandy beach that stretches for miles within 10 minutes walk and a 18 hole golf course.
