The property is beautifully decorated with a very cosy feel. It is an excellent location allowing for walkable access to the town centre, island and harbour. Has all the amenities that you need.

Enjoyed our stay for a few days. Great location although a bit of noise with trucks accessing the shops behind.

Lovely town to visit

Port Fairy is a delightful town to visit, full of history, charm and beaches. The cottage was in a great location in the centre of town.

Great location. BBQ was not as clean as we had hoped. A separate toilet would have been advantageous. Overall great place to stay.

A pleasant stay

We enjoyed the location, the blue and white decor and the well outfitted kitchen and spacious living area. The small back garden was good to sit in and also for drying clothes. As we were a grandma, adult daughter and 2 grandsons we needed the 4 beds - the 3 queen beds and one single were good. The bedding and furniture were clean but the floors were very grubby and my daughter spent 45 minutes washing them with the excellent mop provided. This should have been done before we arrived. We would have liked openable windows even though there was an air conditioner in the living area and heaters in each room. The drawer space in each bedroom was excellent but the front left bedroom had no place to hang clothes - the double wardrobe was locked and no wall hooks. We liked being able to do our laundry at the house and the kids liked having the large bath as well as the shower. We appreciated that a street parking permit was provided. The area and the street were very quiet most of the time apart from some delivery trucks to the nearby supermarket in the mornings. We enjoyed being able to walk to dinner and to the shops, as well as being able to cook meals in the well outfitted kitchen. Overall we really enjoyed our week's holiday.

Excellent location, but needs work

The location was perfect for what we wanted, but there was a lack of basic amenities, and the house needs some maintenance. It rained every day while we were there, but there was no clothes dryer, and the clothesline outside wasn't sheltered enough to dry things. Locks on front and back doors were falling apart, and some of the downlights needed replacing.

Ran out of toilet paper. Would have liked to have the gas fire going in the cold blast that came through. No electric blankets and no power point for the heater in the blue bedroom. House was beautifully decorated with plenty of utensils etc.

Good position

Good position for cafes and walk to beach , the house didn’t seem to be prepared for our arrival, grass in backyard was very long. House probably suits 4 people as there were only 4 lounges seats , anyone else had up to sit at the kitchen table .There was no wifi or bbq as advertised . But overall a pleasant stay . Lovely town and great restaurants.

Perfect Position

We loved our stay at Ginabella. The three rooms with large beds were perfect for my two sisters and myself. My dog had lovely out door space as well. The position in the centre of town couldn’t have been more perfect as we walked everywhere to shops, cafes and the river and island. There was a washing machine which wasn’t in the brochure so that was a pleasant surprise for a weeks stay. BUT….. The TV was adequate but a DVD player would have allowed us to watch a movie or two as it wasn’t a smart TV. There was no dishwasher as advertised on the brochure but that was ok. The lack of WiFi in this day and age was really frustrating, as to sit in cafes or the library to catch up on messages is a time waster.

Fantastic location

Two adults stayed here with two dogs. Cute cottage and you could walk to everything as the shops/restaurants all within a few minutes walk. The cottage itself was clean but it was small and no option to unpack as cupboards were padlocked. There was an umbrella stand outside but it appeared that it, and the BBQ were locked inside a shed. The yard was small so really good if you have small dogs but I have a GSD so not much room to throw a ball around. Having said that, he was fine and it is secure which is really important to me. The outdoor furniture was quite aged and a lovely nectarine tree in the yard but was full of spoiling fruit on the ground so perhaps a bit more care from the cleaner re outside as well as inside in between stays. As others have mentioned the delivery trucks are quite frequent along the adjacent lane way but we were up before they arrived so not really a bother but it is constant. Overall, we were out exploring most of the day so these are small things but an upgrade to outside furniture would be great as it wasn’t comfortable to sit outside for very long. The beds were really comfy and we enjoyed our stay and the ability to support local restaurants, cafes etc who are still clearly struggling after being locked down for so long.

Great location with bakery and coffee shop just on the corner. House was perfect size for our group of4 friends and a totally enclosed rear garden for our 4 legged companions.

Great location in town, a bit noisy with lane way trucks. Pictures misleading, disappointed in cleanliness, especially with Covid 19. Missed small details like a hair dryer, coffee pot, cupboard space and extra toilette paper.

A much needed getaway

The cottage was comfortable and warm , considering the very cold weather. Everything we needed was available and it was uniquely presented with cottage charm. The living space does appear to be a lot larger on the enhanced photo and we felt it would be ‘very cosy’ for 6 adults. The TV was not working upon arrival ....we immediately notified the manager and being a weekend they were unable to get anyone to look at it. Thankfully there was no footy on on this particular weekend or we would have been very disappointed!!

Cosy, Clean and Great Location

We have been coming to Port Fairy for winter breaks for several years now. Ginabella was perfect for our family of three + two small dogs. With the kitchen and lounge all in one space and the excellent gas heating having the place warmed up very quickly, we couldn’t have been happier with this choice. It’s just minutes to the main streets where there is a really great selection of restaurants for dine in or takeaway - though C-19 meant we were inclined to do takeaway each time, which was just fine as Ginabella is a good place to hang out. For those who haven’t been to Port Fairy previously, this place is in easy proximity by foot to the riverside, both beaches, Griffith Island and the Russel Clarke Reserve - all excellent markers for long dog walks! Many thanks for a great stay - will most definitely return to this property.

The property was charming clean and welcoming. The owner has done a fabulous job.

The managing people gave me some wrong info. The backyard was NOT accessable which was an issue as we needed to leave our trailer somewhere. I was told it was off street parking when I rang. Also check in was at 3pm which I felt was quite late (most places are 2pm). And the property was not ready at 3pm so we had to wait. The BBQ gas bottle also ran out on the first night while we were cooking which was unfortunate.

The property cleaning is managed by the owners themselves, therefore I will just let them know that the cleaner was not done with the property by the time you have arrived. In regards to the Gas Bottle, I will bring this also to the attention of the owners to get filled up. For future reference, please be advised that we do have an After hour consultant which will be available to assist with hiccups such as empty gas bottles.
