Absolutely one of our favorite places to stay! This beautiful property has quickly become a new family tradition for us. It is incredibly clean, gorgeous, spacious, and feels wonderfully private and peaceful. We especially love the trails right out back for walking and exploring. It truly feels like a little escape, and we look forward to coming back every time. Highly recommend!

The walking paths are phenomenal- bring your walking boots/shoes and bug spray. We really enjoyed the diversity of plants/trees/mushrooms- there are lots of photo opportunities, from the manicured lawn to the forest paths to the native planting sections to the very charming abandoned chicken coop behind the garage. Everything about this place is comfortable and homey. We could tell they put a lot of thought into the entire space. It had an incredibly well-appointed kitchen (they had SHARP knives... IYKYK!). The beds and linens were lovely! There were tons of games, and the pool table was great. Connor was quick with communication, and the house was very clean. We had a wonderful time!

It was a cozy little cottage that had everything you need. We saw lots of wild animals and we wish it was nicer to walk the trails.Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent! Everything was as described and just lovely. Beautiful country setting with many amenities. Great place for a large group. Host was supper communicative and facilitated our requests. Easy check in and checkout. I highly recommend.

We had a fantastic stay! The house was perfect for our group’s annual weekend getaway — rustic, comfortable, and full of charm. It had everything we needed, and the setting made it easy to relax and enjoy our time together. The location near Grand Rapids was beautiful and convenient. A perfect retreat!

We brought our small staff team here for a 2 day retreat and it could not have been more perfect! The house is in incredible condition and every detail is taken care of! The property is stunning, the accommodations are extremely comfortable and we will absolutely be back!

Lovely wooded retreat

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the WI cabin, which was cozy and welcoming. The property was very well maintained and had a nice balance of rustic and high-end features. The hosts were great to work with and very communicative. We stayed at the cabin while visiting the Sand Valley resort nearby for a few rounds of golf (resort was sold out but this was a fantastic alternative!).

The Gambrel House is amazing! Comfy beds, great showers, hot water, fire pit was awesome, pool table had great stories, and it was quiet at night. Loved everything about it. John is an exceptional host. Second year we stayed here. Be back next year!!!

Butler Memorial Day get away

Wonderful place to stay. Get for dogs lots of space to roam. We biked a lot which was great in this area. Big house for a large family to spreed out in.

Attention to detail is what makes this property work. Our family enjoyed playing yard and board games. The nature trails were beautiful too! The owners were accommodating. One of our family members will be back for golf outing. Thanks again for everything!
