Lion House @ggconservation pour les amoureux du lion et de la nature

Lion House est un cottage indépendant de 3 chambres situé dans la réserve mondialement connue GG Conservation Wildlife Reserve et le sanctuaire du Lion abritant plus de 70 lions magnifiques! Vous n'êtes jamais à plus de 5 mètres d'un lion chez Lion House !! Toute l'expérience du lion est ce que vous obtenez ici, car vous avez des lions juste devant votre porte!

Chez Lion House, vous êtes assuré de faire l'expérience du son surround de plus de 70 lions 'discutant' entre eux, une expérience unique en son genre, en particulier les hurlements nocturnes! Oubliez le monde extérieur et laissez-vous séduire par le calme et la quiétude de notre mère la Terre, écoutez le chant des oiseaux et imprégnez-vous du véritable esprit de la faune et de la flore africaines. Il y a aussi le wifi pour ceux d'entre vous qui ont besoin de rester en contact avec le monde extérieur.
Les équipements sont indépendants avec une cuisine complète et un grand patio extérieur pour se détendre, siroter votre apéritif préféré et regarder les lions de près. Le patio dispose également de zones braai / barbecue pour les repas en plein air. La maison du Lion possède également un beau feu de bois à l'intérieur, idéal pour se mettre à l'aise lors des fraîches soirées d'hiver.
Beaucoup de gibier sont en liberté sur notre territoire, y compris le zèbre, l'autruche, le springbok, le gemsbok (oryx) bontebok, le waterbuck, le gnou et l'impala avec d'incroyables opportunités photographiques! Un safari peut être organisé sur demande et moyennant des frais supplémentaires.
Magnifiques promenades possibles dans la réserve naturelle environnante, contenant notre propre montagne Bakerskop, qui est également disponible pour la randonnée.

Fantastic place

This is a very unique property and we loved staying at GG's Lion House. It was clean and tidy, with everything we needed. Plus having the lions so close was absolutely amazing. Loved listening to them calling to each other.

Above & Beyond my Expectations

This was an experience of a lifetime. Our host was very personable and friendly and made our trip the most memorable. This had been a 4yr plan in the making and dream come true. Waking up to the lions right outside our back yard, getting a tour of the conservation and meeting the lion prides up close and personal was life changing. I will definitely be back to visit and stay at the Lion House.

What an experience

We stayed for 2 nights but really you need 3+ nights as that gives you time to adjust to the 'roars' during the nights. What a magnificent sound to sleep to. Sitting on the stoep just watching the lions was so relaxing. Would like to go back in summer when the grass is green as we stayed in winter and it was typical Orange Free State, dry and brown veld. Loved it and miss it!

Amazing...definitely going again

Beautiful location where you are simply at peace and far from the bustle of everyday life. The roar ofthe lions and dawn and dusk are the few sounds to break the tranquility....and they are a magnificent sound. The property was spotless, kitchen and bbq well equipped. Little touches like a selection of games for the evening and blankets to keep warm on the terrace were thoughtful and made the house feel homely. The staff were amazing...big shout out to Wade, Kayleigh and Suzanne. The owner Patrick is a real character and was a great source of information. Definitely recommend this place and will go back next year

Amazing Experience

We had an amazing time at the Lion House. The lions are obviously the main attraction and they did not disappoint. The house is older and some of the windows don't quite line up to the frame of the house, so we had some large spider visitors and lots of flying bugs also since there isn't AC and windows are open for breeze most of the time - so something to consider if critters bother you. Communication with the host prior to arrival required multiple follow ups, but once we were there, the staff and communication were wonderful. Sadly, the photography cage that was advertised is no longer in use, but we did get to observe feeding day which was cool.

One of the most special places we have ever been.

One of the most special places we have ever been. The lions roaring at night is indescribable amazing. The Lion House has everything you need. You can walk around and see the lions up close. Our neighbour and his 2 ladies were running around and chasing each other. The lions look like they have a good life and get all the need. This is definitely a good stop over for 2 or 3 days.

Lion House

I stayed 4 days at the Lion House at the Lion Sanctuary. Everything was amazing. You walk out the back door to the covered patio and there are 2 lions just 5 meters away. Then you look to the left and there are 3 more and another 5 just beyond the first 2’s pen. You hear them all night long. Best nights sleep I have had in ages. I would definitely recommend everyone to go there

Best trip of my life!

From the moment I met Pat to the moment I said goodbye to him, I had the time of my life! The entire team at GG is amazing! Traci, Pat, Suzanne and their team are rockstars who genuinely love their jobs. The lions are magnificent and they make you forget about your city life (thank God for that). They are very accommodating and it is a must visit! I recommend doing all the activities there since you'll see different moods of the lions. I'm definitely visiting again!

Absolutely perfect

One of the best experiences of a lifetime definitely, I went on this trip for the lions but when I checked out I realized I gained a family and friends for life , they are extremely nice extremely helpful and very intelligent, Patrick was extremely amazing and he has the best stories ever and Zelda is a sweetheart -her beauty and her soul and her positive energy are absolutely everything. Suzie and I had a talk and I gained a lot of great information regarding lions and the importance of finding the best place to see those beautiful wild animals Places like GG are the reason probably why the next generation will be able to see lions as well and won’t be extinct hopefully. Those people put love, energy , resources and time into protecting our plant and the magnificent lions, from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU for all you do.

We have had the most amazing experience at the Lion House. Suzanne was a fantastic host and living up close to so many lions for a few days was an experience never to forget. We will be back and also highly recommend the human cage experience.
