We had a lovely week in this quiet and peaceful cottage. This was our first time in the Suisse Normandie and it was a real discovery.Jenny is a friendly and helpful host.
We couldn't have found a better gite as a base for our three-day driving tour of the beautiful Suisse Normande (and at such a good time of year).Jenny was a very welcoming and informative host. It was a lovely touch to find a bottle of wine and home-made strawberry jam on arrival! The location is so peaceful and idyllic.
Great location to base out of for visiting all the Normandy sights. Jenny with her furry friend Honey made for a wonderful greeting after a day of travel from the US. She is an amazing host filled with a vast knowledge of the area that helped us fine tune our adventures.
Fantastisch mooie locatie. Fijne , attente gastvrouw, veel te doen in de omgeving. Prachtige wandelingen gemaakt vanuit het huisje met onze honden. Wij gaan zeker nog weer terug komen.
Perfect stay in outstandingly beautiful surroundings
Adorable and well equipped adjacent cottage in prolific garden, kept by a very kind and helpful landlady.
The area offers lovely restaurants, and yet you should use the opportunity to cook in to try this wonderful kitchen.
Le Bo and Clecy offer fantastic sceneries, as does Normandy.
The area is beautiful. An unspoilt part of France that has much to offer. Jenny our host lives next door to this traditional gite. She met us on arrival and was hugely welcoming. Throughout our stay she advised things to do and places to eat. We kayaked, hiked, climbed and went on the luge. The gite has all things you might need to stay. We often cooked at home. WiFi was a little slow in some parts of the house but you just have to choose where to sit. 4g was very strong despite it being very rural.l so it didnât really matter anyway if you have plenty of data.
To get bread milk etc is about 10 min drive. Not far but just country roads so you donât go anywhere fast but you are on holiday so it didnât matter. The gite is very rural but you can walk down to Clecy in about 45 mins (itâs down hill) although a bit rugged in places so need to be fairly sure footed. And back up is in part very up hill but worth it for the incredible views at the top of the cliff.
The gite was a good base for us and was plenty big enough for the 4 of us.
Amazing place to stay and explore the area. Jenny was extremely helpful and even booked a horse riding lesson for my Daughter and got us shopping in as we were arriving late at night. I would definitely recommended.
The moment we came here , it felt good. Such a big and comfortabel house, the garden is beautifull and large , Jenny is so kind and always there for a chat or advice , she has a lovely dog that went great with my dog . She has horses .. me and my two teenagers loved it here , so quit en so much place . And enough to do ; we went hiking , kanoën, via ferrata in Clecy , a day to Bayeux . I absolutely hope that I come back here .
