It was awesome. The condo was clean and the beds were very comfortable and the location was great with amazing views. I would make the suggestion of cleaning or changing out the Decorative pillows on the beds because they were in bad shape but the rest of the unit was great. We would stay again.

Was sent wrong code to get into condo. It was fixed promptly. Check out should not be at 9 am. Cleaning crew was there at 8:50 a.m. as we were trying to gather our things. A little much.

Our week at The Wharf

Great view of the harbor. Easy access. Well stocked/ Was easy to relax and distress The large twin beds helped our teens to have their own space.

We got there and the door was left cracked open so we thought someone was inside, no they just left the door wide open for anyone to come in. Once we check the unit to see no one was in it we noticed how dirty everything was, there was left over food residue one the couch the walls had black smudges all over them the trim was cracked the front door seal was broken so most of the AC went right out of the unit. We stay at the wharf all the time this was the most stressful time I have ever had. All the other units we have stayed at where perfect this one needs some TLC I would definitely ask for updated pics.

Summer23 Wharf

The property was not ready for occupancy and the rental agency Southern vacation rental did not have towels or toilet paper or our passes in the condo and did not seem to have any sense of urgency about fixing it. Our entry codes were wrong and were changed 2 days without communication. I love the wharf but this was my worst experience ever I’m 10-12 years of coming here.

House on the wharf

We loved the area and the convenience of the local shopping and restaurants. The one drawback was not knowing the locations of the fitness center and the swimming pool. Our access code didn’t work and neither did the dryer. Had some frustration with both of those but overall it was a good vacation.

Spring break at the Wharf

Very nice condo at the Wharf with great views front and back. Lots to do and see there. Had a little issue with the door code not working but the property managers were able to solve it fairly fast with a phone call. Would definitely stay here again.

Awesome vacation spot!

Amazing condo, great amenities and a perfect location. So many places to eat, shop and visit with this location. Condo was great, beds were comfy, alot of room and all appliances are up to date. Would definitely stay again! Great spot for kids and adults.

Beautiful View!

We could sit on the balcony and just watch the view all day. Location was amazing, just walk down to the shops and restaurants. The little water park was incredible and the kids had a blast. Very nice sized condo and very clean. 10/10 would recommend. Will be back!

Weekend Getaway

Perfect! Condo was as pictured, very clean and comfortable. The balcony overlooking the marina was our favorite spot showcasing gorgeous sunsets and sunrises! Great fun being so close to restaurants, live music and shops all within walking distance. Will definitely stay again!

Love This Place!

Absolutely loved this condo. The view overlooking the wharf called out for me to begin each morning with breakfast out on the balcony and to end each evening enjoying the boats on the water. We even got to use the grill one evening, enjoying not only steaks but a fish I bought at a local seafood market that was fresh in from the day before. The resort pool was also exactly what I was looking for to slowly allow the year's stress float away as I floated down the lazy river and soaked in the hot tub allowing the jets hit all the knots in areas I didn't even know I had! What a great setting to relax. Of course the location is perfectly placed near so many local beaches and the Gulf State Park. What beautiful beaches! It was nice to find a location not so overpopulated with buildings or people, but with just the right amount of live music and casual as well as fine dinning. This includes the wonderful food we enjoyed just downstairs from our condo at several delicious restaurants and even brought home some delicious fudge from one of the shops just walking distance from our door. The only regret I had was not finding the time to ride the Ferris wheel! -next time.. :-) I cannot complete this without adding how amazing the staff were to work with. They helped us unlock our door after 10pm when we forgot our code... at arrival helped us find the correct parking space for the condo.. (it's on the Blue Heron side!) and even more importantly, when I ran into car problems that called for my stay to be extended for two extra days unplanned, the staff along with the owners worked together to help us out in our unexpected crises while my car was being repaired. I'm so grateful and blessed to have found this place and plan many more returns bringing family and friends in the future. Thank you so much for being so accommodating. Your home is beautiful and the Wharf is a perfect place for that "vacation feeling" to find the escape from the daily grind. God Bless you and the Owners. Tassy Stillinger

Worst vacation experience we’ve ever experienced

First got there and couldn’t find the parking that was listed on the directions
 after numerous text they let us know that info needs to be updated and we had to park on the opposite side (so far away from the original directions) next got to the condo and the code didn’t work. Had to stay on the phone for 30 minutes before I could get in touch with someone to give me a new one. Once we got into the condo it was filthy and not cleaned from the previous people.. had towels piled up, carpet was disgusting, all beds were unmade. A cleaning crew did come in and do an amazing job.. they were the only good part of the trip. Next all THREE ice makers in the condo didn’t work.. i called to get the serviced on the first day because i had babies and needed milk to stay cold.. the only excuse they gave me was they were waiting on owner to respond.. i texted them EVERY day about this and they still did nothing ! Next refrigerator AND freezer didn’t work all of our groceries spoiled. Again sent numerous texts about this and they did nothing but say they were waiting on the owners to answer. Next we had EIGHT people in our condo which is why we got a two king and bunk room
 go figure one of the king beds were broken and you could not sleep in it without rolling out of it
 again sent numerous texts about this and they told me they were sending out a maintenance crew to fix it and of course NOTHING was done. So out of eight people one whole room was out of service and they cared less. The bunks swayed so bad that we were scared to even sleep in them ! Next every door in the condo squeaks so loud that you can literally wake up the people on top and beneath you. Washer and dryer squeak so loud that you can only wash clothes when you are out of the condo. BBQ pit was covered in mold. This condo was NOT worth the amount of money that we paid for it and i honestly can’t believe that I’m not getting some kind of Refund other than half off one night.. the one night that we got there at 4:00pm and couldn’t get settled till 8pm!! A whole day wasted. This was the worst vacation experience we have ever experienced!! Read this review and read it again.. it’s the God honest truth and i have all the screenshots to prove it ! This company and apparently the owner does NOT care about their tenants and only care about the money! I can not believe what we went through over this last week for almost $3,000. I would never ever use Southern Vacation again. EVER. Don’t book!!

Condo spacious and clean.

Condo itself was great. The activities, distance of oil, no putt putt, limited hours of pool, no info on workout room or location or guide to area events. This would have been nice. Also we never got a working key fob.

Owner needs to consider a new management company

Upon arrival we were not able to get into the room. The code we received was not active. So we called Souther Vacation Rentals and was able to obtain a new code. That wasn't a huge deal but then we noticed trash on the carpet, and old food on several of the dishes that were put away as they were clean. When waking up the first morning we noticed the bed in the second master was broken. We lifted the mattress to see the frame was clearly busted and it looked like the issue had been "band aided" several times. After the first night we were not able to use the 2nd master as the bed was broken to the point you would just roll off the bed while trying to sleep. We contacted the management company who sent a rep out to check on things. She said the bed being broke wasn't something maintenance could take care of since clearly the bed needed replaced so they would contact the owners. I also mentioned there being dirty dishes in the cabinets, she said that was a housekeeper issue and she would pass it on. We stayed 4 nights but were only able to utilize 2 of the bedrooms to full capacity but we were not given any kind of discount or refund. The management company didn't even try to accommodate us for not being able to use the 2nd master. All we received was "we'll let the owners know, sorry about that." We did not pay for a 3 bedroom condo to only be able to use 2 of them. We also, had issues when visiting the pool. We were told you have to have a keycard to enter the pool area and we would need to notify the management company. The pool staff also mentioned this is a very common issue with Southern Vacation Rentals and we would need to stay on them about getting a key card because they are not good about responding. The pool staff turned out to be correct. We never received the keycard even though we asked for it. We were told it would be delivered to our room, it wasn't. Then, while traveling home we received a message from Southern asking where the key card was as the new tenent was needing it to access the pool. SVR really needs to get their crap together. The condo itself was very nice. Housekeeping needs to do a better job. The Wharf is an awesome place to stay. I would stay here again but, I would not rent through Southern Vacation Rentals ever again.

Very easy process
