The apartment was a lot bigger than we expected. We had amazing views of the sea and mountains from the balcony. Plus another large balcony and views from the kitchen. Location is great in terms of convenience, very close to beach, lido, shops and restaurants. The number 2 bus and the hop on and hop off bus was directly at the building.
A kestrel even came to visit us on our last day

Third time

This was our third time staying at this property. Joe's brother Nelson and his wife Ana greeted us when we arrived and were excited to show us all the upgrades Joe has done. New furniture in the living room, a new cabinet beside the table in the kitchen, new dishes and pots and pans and both bathrooms totally renovated. We love the location on the water and everything you need just a stroll away. We are hoping to return next year.

Fantastic

We were five adults aged between 80 and 35, and a small child under 2 years old, who rented this fantastic apartment. We were very satisfied with everything.We didn’t have access to a car, although there were garage spaces available. We chose to get into Funchal city either on foot or by Taxi/Bolt.There’s a good grocery store nearby — but it’s up a steep hill, so if you have limited mobility, you might need a car or someone to assist you.There are both swimming spots and good restaurants in the area, and we can truly recommend trying Aconchego Restaurante Bar — it may not look like much, but the food is excellent.Simply a great place to stay.

Wonderful Stay

Enjoy Madeira

Had a great time in Madeira. The condo had everything we needed. Cleaners came every two weeks. Location was great, close to shopping, promenade and restaurants. View of sunsets over the ocean were fantastic.

A perfect home away from home

The apartment wasn't as described - it was better! The location was perfect - out of the city, but close enough to get there quick. A large balcony and view to die for, Plus another large balcony and views from the kitchen. It was the most well equipped place I had stayed in ever, complete with a clothesline and pegs to hang washing for longer stays.The apartment was huge and comfortably slept all 3 of my teenage children. I would definitley recommend.

Amazing place and great location

We came here for a family vacation. The flat was amazing, clean and in a great location with wonderful views. There was nearby access to the ocean, supermarkets, coffee shops and restaurants. Also, easy access to coastal walking and downtown. We would definitely stay here again the next time in Madeira. Also, Nelson was very helpful, and even helped us with a car battery issue.

This condo/department was perfect!

The apartment was beautiful, two couples stayed perfectly. The area was very nice, away from tourist. But very easy to get anywhere you want. Bus stop right in front of the building. There’s a lot of hills! But there’s a walk down the steps through a tunnel and beautiful rock beaches several restaurants close by.

Perfect location

The apartment was spacious and located in the same building complex with shops and restaurants. It was also right at the bus stops connecting directly to the center of Funchal as a well as to the airport. There was also a designated parking spot in the underground parking for the rented car. We all had wonderul time.

Very nice flat

The flat is very spacious. The kitchen is well equipped. 2 complete bathrooms with showers. 3 bedrooms (2 double beds, 2 single beds) with television. 2 spacious balconies. Sea view with evening sun. I would book the flat again.

Great apartment, friendly contact

Everything was a good fit. The location of the apartment was just right for us. Directly at the promenade, with ample shopping opportunities and in walking distance to Funchal center. The bus stop was directly at the building. The apartment itself was spacious as advertised. We had a very easy time with 5 people and enjoyed the big living room. Contact with the owner was a breeze. If we had a question or request, everything went smoothly. Absolutely recommended!

Excellent place to stay, I could look at the view forever!

Joe & his brother Nelson are excellent hosts. The apartment is roomy and a perfect place for me, my brother and sister, each with our own bedroom (I got the ensuite!). The kitchen is well equipped and balconies on either side provided shade and sun (weather permitting) as required. Excellent transport links into Funchal via the bus stop right outside, and the shopping area in the centre has a supermarket ideal for most items when we don't want to make the 10 minute hike up to the Forum where there is a large supermarket. Varied restaurants within a 2 minute walk are ideal to suit any palate. All in all a perfect location for a Xmas / New Year break. Wish we could stay longer!

Superb Location

Spacious apartment 100 yards from the sea. Quiet location . Balcony with lovely view over the water and stunning sunsets spring to autumn. Fine selection of bars and restaurants on your doorstop . The Forum shopping centre is a 5 minute walk. The bus at the front door takes you into the centre of Funchal in 15 minutes or you can take a lovely walk along the bay in 45 minutes. Since finding this apartment in April 2016 we have been back 7 times. That says it all .
