Thank you for the lovely review and we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. With regard to our neighbours dogs, we have spoken to him about this before and he has now put up a fence so that the dogs cannot jump at the gate.

We tried our very best to make your stay a pleasurable one. When you arrived, it was a warm and sunny day and we explained that as it was June we had turned the heating off but that there was a fuel heater for you to use if needed. We also said to let us know if you were too cold and we would put the heating back on for you. You told us not to worry as you preferred a cool room. The next day you complained about the fuel heater. We were surprised as this is the first time in six years that anyone has said the heater was a problem, in fact our guests frequently tell us how good it is. Of course we didn’t want you to be cold so we put the heating on for you. We asked you what times you would like the heating on and we followed your instructions as it can only be controlled from our house. When you phoned later in the evening to say you were cold we turned the thermostat up and left the heating on until later for you. The following day we brought you an additional electric heater to replace the fuel one so that you could better control the temperature yourselves and we left the heating on as requested. On Friday you complained that the duvet was too hot. We offered to turn the heating down but you said you wanted it left on but wanted a thinner duvet so we left the heating on and got you a thinner duvet. We were quite taken aback that you made no initial offer to pay for the charging of your electric car on our electricity. The rental price includes electricity but this does not include powering a vehicle for the 2 week duration of your stay and so we had to ask you if you wouldn’t mind paying for whatever you thought you had used. I can only apologise that the jacuzzi was not quite ready for the first night of your stay. As we explained and apologised at the time, we had been, for reasons beyond our control delayed returning from holiday and so the water had not quite had time to heat to the preferred temperature. It was ready for you by the second day. We showed you how to use the jacuzzi and asked you not to change any of the control/cleaning settings. You did try to adjust the settings which caused them to lock and jam affecting the filtering and heating system. You left the jacuzzi in a poor state of cleanliness as you did the gite when you left.
