Cottage de luxe rural romantique

Le chalet Birkwood partage 3 1/2 acres de terrain boisé et paysagé avec les propriétaires de la maison Birkwood. La maison Birkwood a été construite en 1905 et le chalet a été construit un peu plus tard comme chalet des jardiniers. C'est une base idéale pour s'imprégner de l'atmosphère du pays pour voyager plus loin.

Ce magnifique cottage indépendant bien présenté est niché dans un cadre paisible et tranquille à la lisière du village de symington, dans le sud du Lanarkshire, près de la M74 qui est l'une des principales artères reliant Glasgow à l'Angleterre.

Le chalet est situé dans une belle région rurale, à la périphérie du village de Symington, à 2 1/2 miles du bourg de Biggar et à 10 miles du village historique de New Lanark. À proximité d'Edimbourg et de Glasgow et de leurs aéroports et de leurs attractions environnantes, ainsi que d'un accès routier facile pour aller plus loin. La campagne est un paradis pour les amateurs de plein air, avec de nombreuses pistes de campagne et des sentiers côtiers à explorer, idéal pour les cyclistes, les marcheurs, les vététistes et les randonneurs.

Le logement peut accueillir 6 personnes confortablement et comprend les éléments suivants: à l'étage, la chambre 1 a un lit traîneau king-size et la chambre 2 est une chambre à lits jumeaux. Il y a une salle de douche et WC entre les chambres. en bas se trouve la chambre 3 avec un autre lit traîneau king-size et une salle de bains avec douche dans la baignoire et WC. Dans le grand salon en bas, il y a un coin salon avec un poêle multifuel et une table à manger avec vue sur les portes-fenêtres donnant sur le jardin et le lac voisin au-delà. Il y a une télévision à écran plat connectée au mur. La cuisine est bien équipée avec four et plaques électriques, micro-ondes, réfrigérateur / congélateur, lave-vaisselle et lave-linge.

A l'extérieur: grands jardins, commodités, grand parking hors route.

Linge de lit Christy de luxe partout, serviettes, chauffage central au fuel, WiFi sont tous inclus.

Malheureusement pas de fumer.

1 chien bien élevé est le bienvenu.

Un magasin de billes bien approvisionné et des ovales de charbon sont également inclus.

The cottage is warm and welcoming, beautifully decorated with every amenity you could wish for. The setting is peaceful relaxing yet close to a quaint town with the best fish and chips. Definitely worth a repeat visit. Fiona and Scott are wonderful inviting hosts

Birkwood Cottage is a wonderful place. We spent the Christmas week here, Fiona greeted us as we arrived and was very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. The cottage was so clean and inviting and very well equipped. The dogs loved the garden area which was safe and away from main roads ( we have a spaniel!) We’ve had a wonderful break. X

It was the most amazing little cottage in the country. Very neat and clean very comfortable.

Symington cottage

Lovely location as a base for hiking in the south of Scotland in the Clyde River valley. The cottage has three nice size bedrooms (we used two) with comfortable beds and a kitchen with all the basics. Fiona is a responsive host with good recommendations for hikes and local restaurants.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage. It was lovely and comfortable, cozy and all the details were perfectly attended to. Our host was friendly and very helpful with local information and made sure we had a few helpful things in the kitchen to get us started on arrival. Fiona is really lovely and we would love to return to this wonderful area of the countryside. The location is central for day trips and there are tons of hidden gems. The morning walks are gorgeous and there are so many friendly lambs and dogs to get to know. We loved it !

Fantastic cottage

Had a fantastic time at Birkwood Cottage. It may have rained but that didn't stop us visiting Glasgow (try out the subway from the park and ride), Edinburgh (family), New Lanark, The Carmichael Farm Shop and Bistro and ate in many excellent local restaurants and cafes. Loved coming back to the cottage to relax and enjoy an excellent sleep as well as walking in the grounds.

Fantastic cottage in South Lanarkshire

Lovely cottage, tucked amongst the trees providing a peaceful and secluded stay. Cottage has everything you need and more, wood burner was great and logs provided. Fiona was lovely and helpful pointing out out local places of interest like Biggar and Peebles but cottage is well located for the larger cities if that’s what you’re looking for. Lovely Country Get Away

Stayed here for 3 nights and had a lovely time. The cottage was spotless, with everything you need and more, also the choice of furnishings was very nice. Enormous fenced in wooded gardens which were great for our black lab Jack. Hosts Fiona and Scott couldn't have been nicer and always on hand if you needed anything. Would Definitely recommend.

The Perfect Vacation

Place you want keep secret.

Lovely house nestled in a large wooded garden. Sufficiently tucked away to be secluded but with easy access to the surrounding border country. Provided with all the needs of modern living and to a high standard. Host who lives next door, very friendly and welcoming.

Great Cottage in a quiet setting

Stayed here for a wedding at Cornhill Castle, it’s in a great peaceful location. The property was spotless and had everything we needed for our stay. The bedrooms are spacious and the kitchen although small is full equipped with everything you could need. The owners were in touch before, during and at the end of our stay to make sure everything was as it should be. The gardens are great, our children loved playing in the grounds. Would highly recommend staying here for families or a small group of friends.

A lovely warm cottage with great comfortable beds. Underfloor heating very welcome. Brilliant.

We were staying here as a gap from one house to another and has been a very nice cosy house to be in, There is lots of car parking space which suited our needs too. The cottage is surrounded by woods which our 2 maniac dogs loved, there is also a hidden swing in the woods. We would thoroughly recommend this cottage to anyone. The owners couldn't do enough for us and a lovely couple too.

Symington Cottage Review

The owner made a special effort to meet us and provide recommendations for local amenities. She also allowed us access to the cottage as soon as we arrived. The cottage was very comfortable and cozy and convenient to Biggar and Symington while still being very private. There was plenty of room for 4 adults and the kitchen had all mod cons. Great property for our needs!

Symington Cottage

This cottage was lovely and peaceful. It had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable which made a nice change! We would get the bus into Biggar for dinner in the evenings which was perfect as only 10 mins away. Using the car in the day was also easy to get to Lanark or Biggar where parking is free. I grew up in Lanark so loved seeing Tinto where I would climb many a time as a child. (Perfect for any hikers.) I highly recommend this cottage and would definitely stay again.
