My husband, our 26-year old son, and I just completed a six-day stay at this wonderful house in Roses, high on a hill overlooking the harbor. The view is spectacular from almost every room. We loved the walks from the back of the house on ancient paths through the foothills of the Pyrenees Mountains. The paths are lined with old stone walls, several stone shepherd's huts, and scenic vistas. The hiking paths were an unexpected bonus, also wildflowers were in abundance. Karen, the owner, met us at the house with a light lunch and checked with us consistently to make sure our needs were met. In addition to renting a car, with Karen's recommendation, we hired Steve an English-speaking driver who was delightful. He drove us on short excursions to France, Cadequez, Perlada, Figueres, Girona, as well as to and from Barcelona at the beginning and end of our stay. We felt well taken care of during our stay and would love to do it again.
