Installé dans une ruelle étroite, il se trouve à seulement 2,5 km de la ville de St Austell, dans les Cornouailles, avec ses plages de sable fin, sa pêche et la voile dans la baie. Il y a de nombreux jardins célèbres (particulièrement merveilleux au printemps) facilement accessibles en voiture, notamment le célèbre Eden Project et les jardins perdus de Heligan (5 km), Caerhays (8 km), Trewithen (7 km) et Lanhydrock et Trelissick. Deux terrains de golf, équitation et bowling disponibles sur place. Commerces ½ mile.

Sweet’s close is a real gem! Secluded but no more than a 10 minute walk to the local pub or village stores (they sell everything you need!) The local pub, the Polgooth Inn, is wonderful, their Sunday lunch is amazing (must book ahead!) as is the breakfast. There are loads of local walks close by, Mevagissy is a 10 minute drive away. The cottage itself is perfect, cosy and exceptionally well equipped, literally a home from home. Thank you Lizzie and the Sweets crew, we’ve really enjoyed our stay!

It would be hard to find a more private cottage in an idyllic setting & yet walking distance to friendly shop & pub. It is a lovely ‘home from home’ house that is spotlessly clean & immaculately decorated. We felt very ‘Covid-safe’, and were impressed with the care that has gone into the arrangements. Despite unsettled weather, we found something interesting to do every day - it is ideally situated for visiting the whole of Cornwall. We had a lovely week in Sweet's Close, extremely well equipped cottage. Lots of logs for the fire. The weather was very kind to us but at this time of year it gets chilly in the evenings. The garden is very well enclosed which is perfect for our dog. The owners have very thoughtfully considered every eventuality. Would very much like to stay there again. Thank you.

Sweets Close is a lovely well-equipped cottage in a peaceful location and easily accessible base for travel to a variety of places. There is plenty of literature about places to visit and a detailed welcome pack. Polgooth Inn is very popular and the food is excellent. Even for Monday lunch we needed to book. Thank you so much to the owners and to Carol, the house manager, who gave us such a warm welcome and happily answered any questions.

We had a lovely week at Sweet’s Close. The owner kindly phoned a week beforehand and emailed through some very useful information about local activities and attractions, which did come in very handy when it rained! The bungalow was well presented and in a great location for visiting anywhere in Cornwall. Our son had a great time running around the large garden, whilst we sat outside relaxing. Plenty of games etc inside to play as well.

We have just returned from our third vacation at Sweets Close, this time for two weeks and we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. From the moment we got there we remembered how peaceful it is, also being surrounded by countryside we saw a lot of wildlife, including Jays, Copper butterflies, and the occasional Buzzard. We were welcomed by Carol who always makes us feel welcome, and thank you for the tasty buns!! The accommodation is spacious, warm, clean and very well supplied with everything we could possibly want. The location being on the edge of the village is blissfully quiet. The local amenities are, to us, first class. The local Premier shop is open from 8am to 8pm and the local pub. the Polgooth Inn has an amazing menu and although I don't drink beer they do have a nice range of good quality wine. Nothing is too much trouble for the owner, Lizzie, and we can see their hard work keeping the bungalow in tip top condition shows.

This was our second stay here and I can't recommend it highly enough.

This was our second stay here and I can't recommend it highly enough. It is a lovely peaceful and secluded location, perfect for a relaxing break. The cottage is well equipped, spotlessly clean and nice and cosy on chilly evenings. The Welcome Pack is full of useful local information and ideas of things to do and we found it to be an ideal base for visiting all areas of Cornwall. If you are taking your dogs on holiday with you then the garden is a perfect place for them to run and play. Sweet's Close really is a home from home.

This was our second visit to Sweet's Cottage and again, everything was excellent. The cottage has been redecorated and to be honest we just can't fault anything. The location is really quiet being on the edge of Polgooth and the garden is kept in perfect condition. If you like a wood burning fire then this property has two! My wife and I spent a whole day in the garden enjoying the wildlife!! This property is fantastically appointed, you do not need to bring anything here, just take away happy memories.

Had a lovely holiday here despite poor weather. The property is cosy, warm, well equipped and very spacious for the two of us. It's situated in its own grounds with lots of local wildlife about and was a very pleasant and peaceful place to spend time. The owners couldn't have been more helpful and very kindly sent some clothes I'd left back to me in Yorkshire. We would definitely stay there again for a holiday in Cornwall.
