Totally enjoyed the stay!.. Absolutely wonderful experience for Old Western Town experience. Would however recommend including extra toilet paper and bath towels for more than two guests. Otherwise Exceptional Experience!!!
It was exactly as described, but too small and outdated to sleep comfortably for us. Mostly, we freaked ourselves out with our own imaginations. There were plenty of flies, the bathroom was just too small to take a good shower, and the mini-split squealed like scratchy violins. We forfeited our money and left in the night for another place to stay just to get a good nightâs sleep.
Would not stay here again. Total lack of communication not very clean or comfortable, ac was very noisy hard to sleep, fan in livingroom had no cord to tyrn light off, holes in all drapes, overall very run down. We left 2 nihhts early and just ate tge cost.
The listing didn't give enough information about the property, it was better than we expected.
It had two queen-sized beds, a coffee maker, a microwave, and a refrigerator that we didn't know about.
Our only complaint was the mattresses weren't particularly comfortable, probably worn out.
Pictures advertising room were not as expected. There were three of us and only 2 bath towels were supplied. I texted VRBO explaining this and never received a reply. And I understand we stayed during the week and we heard loud repairs around 7:30 am in the room next door. It was an acceptable accommodation.
BIG GAP UNDER FRONT DOOR.
NO HOT WATER MORNING WE WERE LEAVING.
NOT SURE PICTURES WE SAW ON LINE WHERE OF THE UNIT WE STAYED IN.
COFFEE MAKER DID NOT WORK.
WOULD NOT STAY HERE AGAIN.
The location was with in walking distance of old Tombstone, interesting building, beds were comfortable. The communication or lack there of was disappointing. I reached out to owners before our trip, got a quick text. yes, we got your reservation. NO- entry directions before trip, night before, day of, I called VRBO- They tried to reach owners. Thank God there was an employee onsite who gave me a code to get into our room. FOUR HOURS after check in we got a text with entry directions.
I was spending 3 nights in Tombstone, so I wasn't expecting a plush resort. I wanted a quiet, clean, and comfortable place to rest my head, and a location convenient to all the town has to offer. That is exactly what the San Jose House delivered!
It is not a "house", so don't expect that type of set up. It more closely resembles a motel, but better. I stayed in the Wyatt Earp room. There was a bedroom at the back of the unit and a bed in the front of the main room. The beds were very clean and comfortable. There was also a kitchenette in the main room, with a small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee pot. The bath was clean, and the shower had good pressure (which important to me).
All in all, I was more than pleased, and would absolutely recommend to anyone going to Tombstone.
I would of given a four star rating if all had went well. Our TV didn't work first day, air conditioning didn't work second day, was moved to a different unit where the air conditioning worked but the TV did not work. On site manager was as helpful as she could be, very nice lady. After writing owners (could not get them to call me personally) about our problems they responded with a fair and just outcome. If booking here just make sure there is new window air conditioner and ask about TV.
Our room was very clean and they had kureg coffee pods, with sugar and powdered creamer available. Good location for downtown Tombstone.
Not a lot of parking available if there is a special event in Tombstone.
Not as advertised! No fridge, stove, or microwave. Air conditioning did not work!
This was advertised as a "house" with fridge, stove, and microwave. Was basically a motel room with no amenities at all. We bought food to cook on our way into town and were very disappointed when we arrived and found no fridge, stove, or even microwave to make dinner. Then the air conditioning did not work and we sweltered through an Arizona night. The property manager on scene was very sweet and offered to try and find us a microwave or toaster oven to borrow but by that time we decided to just find a local place for dinner (Johnny Ringo's has great pizza nearby!) The only great thing about the place was the location. it was right in center of Tombstone so we could walk to activities the next day.
The room was small and quaint - just like youâd expect with a historic boarding house like this. Check in was easy and the host was kind. The neighborhood is fun and bustling. As far as the property goes, i wish it would have been cleaner. Our bathroom was a little dingy, and we had to request towels. The San Jose house offers internet and has a tv, but the connection was very weak. The property has a beautiful view of the mountains and is in walking distance to many attractions. Though it wasnât exactly what we had in mind, we enjoyed our stay in the Wyatt Earp room.
Points faibles : Communication, emplacement et exactitude de lâannonce.
On arrival big disappointment. The room is just that, ONE ROOM. It is NOT a 2 bedroom accommodation It must have been a 1 bed with living room at one point but they stuck a broken sagging bed in there so they could get the higher rate. To call it two bedrooms accurately would require a DOOR between the rooms, but there is not a door or even a curtain to provide privacy. If you are not comfortable with having no privacy between the beds then do not book this listing. Ac split system located over the rear bed, was SO LOUD but did not actually work for cooling. You have to run it to try and draw in the fresh cool outside air which is less musty and hot than what we smelled when walking in. I specifically booked stating 3 guests but we were only provided 2 bath towels not even an had towel or wash cloth. All messages from host were obviously AI generated and host still has not replied to any messages. The top of the coffee pot was so dusty we were not going to drink anything coming out of it and could not even clean it becauseâŠ.only 2 towels! The historic building was cute but the inaccuracy of the listing, lack of cleanliness, and LOUD ac/road traffic would have been unbearable for anything longer than the single night. My recommendation the extra for a second room at Hotel Tombstone and enjoy clean rooms, plentiful towels and great pizza instead!
Enjoyed the location and reading about the history of this place. There was a bit of traffic noise and the outside lights shined through the curtains which was a bit annoying.
The location was just what we were looking for. However, we apparently did not look at the description or pictures carefully enough. There was no door on the one and only bedroom; the other bed was in the "living room". A small kitchenette but no table and chairs. There was a big ball of hair by the front door and some hair on the shower wall. The floors had not been mopped. But to end on a positive note, the shower had good flow and was nice and hot!
Most of what we needed was there, working fridge and microwave. Wouldâve Ben nice to have coffee filters and a bath mat. Had to request the right amount of towels...didnât see the on-site manager other than that.
The location was super convenient, being just a couple blocks from the Historic District. We noted the room next door was a bit bigger, would probably book that if staying here again. There is some street noise but we had a good stay.
Room was very clean and great location. Within walking distance of everything and has some historic value to the place you're staying in. Highly recommend.
