This lovely spot worked super well for us as we have family in the area. It is comfortable, quiet and well appointed - an old school cottage with modern kitchen and easy-to-clean tile through-out.

Great coast get away

Place was lovley, both physical house and its location. Was super quiet and allowed both relaxing and physical enjoyment. Great for anyone looking for a coast get away =)

The house was really well maintained and looked after, it had a great kitchen, with sharp knives, good quality pots n pans, we enjoyed lots of cooking, the family area was comfortable, with a bbq and outdoor area backing onto the forest, surf rod and boogie boards available, each room had a ceiling fan. Could do with a new mattress in the single room, otherwise we had a beautiful holiday there, highly recommend it

Lovely, cosy, easy

Perfect for a quiet, east stay. The Tardis has landed in a friendly location with kangaroos literally out the back door. A great place to calm your farm.

Great spot

Wonderful neat house, great for beach and river access. Very quiet and comfortable. Only problem was the front door is very difficult to lock and unlock. Would stay again once this is fixed.

Comfy cabin

This comfy little cottage had all the basics you need. Suited to a family or small group of friends. It is nothing fancy but for the price it is great value, has everything you need, is clean and in a good location close to beach and the lake. Nice little outdoor area with bbq to eat outside and watch all the wild life. Would definitely come back.

Tranquil nature stay

The property is located in a beautiful coastal area surrounded by trees and near a lake. It is the ideal place to stay if you wish to do things at your own pace. It was comfortable place to rest in and because it is a stones throw from the water it has many options for swimming, snorkelling and kayaking. I enjoyed exploring the many little beaches and doing the national Park walks. Will miss the kangaroos and incredible bird life. The property is clean, spacious and comfortable. We had a great stay. Highly recommended.

Perfect retreat

The house was as described, a Tardis. There was so much more space than the outside would suggest. Lovely spacious living area for a family of three. The bedrooms were comfortable band a there was a lovely bath. This was cleanest places that we have stayed in on the south coast. The house was tastefully decorated and had enough of everything needed without the extra clutter that you sometimes get in holiday homes. The location was great backing on to a national park. We enjoyed the wildlife (Kangaroos and tiny frogs). It was so close to the beach and lake. We are likely to return.

Cleaning of kitchen

The property was as described but when we arrived the kitchen bench and stove were covered in ants which leads me to the question of how good was it cleaned. As well the property had no airconditioning it had fans but fans did not do the job of cooling the rooms. All else was fine.

I’m sorry it was hot during your visit but we are clear we do not have air conditioning. It is seldom needed at Durras. Most visitors would be thrilled with 30+ degree days for the beach! The house is very thoroughly cleaned between every guest as can be seen from other reviews. Ants can appear without warning in a very clean house.

Comfortable stay in a beautiful quiet location

We enjoyed our stay at South Durras. The house was very comfortable and met all of our needs. The neighbourhood was quiet and, with the house backing onto the national park, there was abundant wildlife. We enjoyed the many walks nearby. The only issue for us was a very noisy fridge.

Little Oasis

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was so easy to find and a great location! The surrounding neighbours were not a problem at all. It’s a great stay with kids too. We loved having all the kangaroos around too. The only things that we think really need addressing is the front screen door needs to be easily operational. The front door itself needs a proper door handle and lock so that it is easier to just close the door without locking it. Also the back screen door should be fixed so it can be left open for a breeze. However, these issues did NOT impact our stay, it would have just made functionability easier. Thankyou Louisa for being so friendly and for the stay! We hope to come back again one day.
