La Garde Freinet. Luxury family villa with private pool. Sleeps 12

La Bastide de Prenn is a large well equipped family house set in the hills just below the charming hamlet of La Mourre, 10 minutes drive from La Garde Freinet and half an hour from the glitz and glamour and beaches of St. Tropez. It is in an extremely private position with superb and unspoilt views over the valley. Please note that you approach it by a long unmade up drive which is not particularly suited to very low slung cars as there are rain diverter humps. Our tenants always comment on the tranquillity of the surroundings and of our huge lavender bed awash with butterflies, bees, hummingbird moths etc. to keep you entranced for hours.
On the ground floor it has a large living room to include a separate seating area for the television. There is a new fully equipped kitchen with fridge, 2 ovens, gas hob and microwave. A large utility room off this has a further 2 large fridges and a freezer, food storage facilities, washing machine and dryer. The kitchen leads onto a dining room with a table that seats 12. Off the dining room is a Double bedroom with super king size bed and ensuite bathroom with bath and separate walk-in shower. There is a separate w.c. in the hall.
Downstairs is the main sleeping area which is cool in the summer, with doors leading out onto the garden. There are 2 ensuite double bedrooms - one with a walk-in shower and the other with a bath inclusive of shower. There is a further twin bedroom with ensuite walk-in shower and 2 further twin bedrooms that share a family bathroom with bath inclusive of shower. A baby cot and high chair are available.
The front Terrace with its beautiful views over the valley is an ideal location for an evening cocktail and is fitted out with comfortable sofa and chairs. The large rear shaded terrace with built in bar-b-que has an outside dining table that seats 12. A table tennis table and Table Football are provided.
The 12 acre large garden with flowering shrubs leads to a private pool 12m x 6m. The swimming pool is fitted with a pool alarm. There is a tiled poolhouse with sofas and table to provide shade and comfort. Pool Loungers and Sun Umbrellas are provided.The garden, terraces and pool are protected from the winds of the Mistral.
Our rentals begin and end on a Friday although this can sometimes be negotiated if there is not a rental already booked after your dates. Linen is included within the rental price together with 8 hours of cleaning upon your departure. Linen includes bedlinen, bath towels and beach/swimming towels.

In 2015 we undertook extensive renovations including rewiring, new kitchen, 2 new renovated bathrooms, floor tiling throughout.

Heating: The house has central heating on the ground floor and electric radiators in the bedrooms on the lower ground floor.
