Le cottage de l'écrivain anglais est une maison merveilleusement charmante et unique! Le «Cottage de l'écrivain anglais», a gagné son nom pour son esthétique des bungalows anglais Cotswolds rencontre Santa Barbara, et se trouve parfaitement situé dans le quartier historique et pittoresque d'Austin Ave / Castle Heights, à seulement 3-5 minutes de Baylor et du centre-ville de Waco. Ne manquez pas cette maison spéciale!
Lorsque vous entrez, vous êtes accueilli avec des plafonds à caissons de 12 pieds et des chambres confortables pour tous vos invités. Les touches merveilleuses abondent où le moderne rencontre le vieux monde. My husband and I have been staying in VRBOs since 1999, and I can unequivocally say that The English Writer's Cottage is now my favorite!My husband, brother, sister-in-law, and I had a lovely stay last weekend for our annual gathering in Waco. The English Writer's Cottage ticked all the boxes for us. The home offers plenty of space and different gathering areas for conversation or reading. The shady back patio with the fire pit was a great place to sit and talk, even in the summer heat. We obviously didn't need a fire, but even in the Texas heat, there is enough shade that it was comfortable to enjoy the outdoors. I loved sitting out there with my morning coffee listening to the birds.Additionally, the beds were exceptionally comfortable, the massive kitchen had everything we needed to cook, and the location was perfect for accessing local restaurants, shopping, Baylor, Magnolia, and the Silos. Mostly, we loved the vibe of the home. The attention to detail in the curated art and artifacts made the space infinitely interesting.Communication with the owner was also easy and prompt. Thank you, Joshua, for being so accommodating and friendly when my brother and sister-in-law had to return after check-out to retrieve their forgotten clothes. It is wonderful that this home is being cared for with so much love.If you're looking for the perfect stay in Waco, look no further. The English Writer's Cottage is it. We will definitely be back next year!

This is my favorite vacation home I’ve ever stayed in!!! Great layout with huge kitchen, 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. Beautiful home with gorgeous high ceilings and amazing decor- lots of gorgeous antiques and the furniture is so comfortable. Can’t wait to come again! Great location as well.

This house has an AWESOME set up. We went for a girls weekend. The space is open with a beautiful kitchen. There are more cooking utensils here than any other property I've stayed. Nice big dining table for all to gather. Comfortable living room to relax as a group. The bedrooms are beautiful and the beds are comfortable. Nice bathrooms that were clean and accommodated all the women. Josh was a great host. He made it easy and even helped out with great places to visit and eat. All agreed we would stay here again!

Ahh. Thank you, Shannon! I loved meeting you all. Guests like you make this fun. Since this was our personal home at one time, we just left all the kitchen utensils and decor, so every inch was loved and personally touched by my wife, Jill, as she made it our home. Shingles and wallpaper were imported from England. The kitchen was an old sunroom that she had wired and plumbed for the beautiful kitchen you see now. The station of the cross in the master bedroom was brought over from a cathedral in France. We had a bunch at one time, but had the keep that one with Christ carrying the cross. I could on, but you have to experience it! Thank you again and please come back!

What a lovely rental. We were in Waco for a girls birthday road trip and it was perfect! Designer touches thoroughly out (make sure and count the bees on the exquisite wall paper in the first bedroom). Fully furnished kitchen A big shout out for the coffee pods and creamer! , Excellent parking. Quiet. Very close to Dr. Pepper Museum and the Silos.To the Writer’ Cottage:"I love you for all that you are, all that you have been, all that you’re yet to be." Joshua’s home was truly one of my favorite stays ever. I have had the opportunity to stay in many beautiful homes, and this one stood out in such a special way. Every detail felt thoughtful, intentional, and welcoming. I especially loved the eclectic touches and unique design elements that somehow came together perfectly to create a space that felt both luxurious and deeply comfortable.My favorite touch was the lighting. The lamps were absolutely wonderful and thoughtfully placed throughout the home, creating such a warm and inviting ambiance. The lighting perfectly complemented the interior design, which included delightful details like beautiful Wedgwood china displayed in the curio cabinet and exquisite doorknobs that honestly made me want the same ones for my own home.This lovely home made being away from my usual routine feel easy and peaceful. It was the perfect environment to relax, focus, and recharge.The interior of the home was impeccably clean and very well cared for. Communication was excellent, instructions were clear, and Joshua was a gracious and attentive host throughout the stay.I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a memorable and beautifully curated place to stay.

We enjoyed our stay. The back yard was overgrown and the house needs some maintenance in regard to previous water damage in the kitchen. It seemed a safe neighborhood and a great location. We would stay there again.

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived as the place shows beautifully and has a lot of charm and character. It is also central to everything. I would highly recommend this place and would rebook if I am ever back in Waco.

The house is very warm,comfy,and inviting. Has a really cute cozy charm to it. 5 other and i stayed here on a girls trip weekend. It was in good driving distance to places we wanted to visit. Pleanty of room in the house for all. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we need to prep and serve our meals. All bathroom towels, wash clothes, soap, shampoo and conditioner, as well as bed linens where provided. All in all a very nice place to stay. They only and i do mean only thing that was disappointing was the back yard area. The grass was tall. So we couldn't sit out by the fire pit and enjoy the use of it or the yard. Other than that it was a wonderful place to stay in a quite neighborhood that felt very safe. The Host were very informative and helpful. 05/05/26
