The unit had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. The view was absolutely amazing, waking up to the most beautiful sunrise every morning. Will definitely be back in the future.

Relaxing staycation in Mallacoota

My wife and I had a wonderful time at this Mudbrick flat. The view from the apartment is absolutely stunning with panoramic green fields and crystal blue water. It was our first trip to Mallacoota from Melbourne and we were longing for a quiet weekend. John was very informative in his comms and gave us privacy during our stay. We would highly recommend this place to stay for anyone seeking a holiday in Mallacoota.

The best holiday unit ever

Could not love this property any more - roomy, comfortable, fabulous wooden counter tops and those VIEWS; very friendly people in neighbouring streets; so close to magnificent places to walk including the Croajingolong National Park. It was also nice to meet host John in person this time. Can't wait to visit again.

Lovely summer stay

We had a lovely 10 days here. The pictures don’t do it justice. Fabulous views of the lake from within and without. A field of kangaroos right by us each day. The Nat Park next door along with all its beautiful living sounds. The house is very clean, comfortable and atmospheric. A sanctuary no less.

The best view in town.

We had a great week staying at this property. We had a beautiful view of the lake and local kangaroos. Our 1 year old had a great time as did we. Jon was a great host often checking in and informative. Would stay again.

Location!!!

I chose this property, after staying in Mallacoota a year ago, and carefully checking what areas/properties had the best views. Many properties look out onto the lake, but most also give you ugly holiday houses, power lines, parked cars etc as well. As the display photo indicates, polehouse has an exceptionally good outlook. Its view does in fact included another house -- not in the photo -- but there is only one of them. This exceptionally good view was the main issue for us, but in addition the property itself was first class: spacious, attractive, comfortable and well-maintained. And the WiFi worked well!

Relaxing

Great view of the inlet, with the sun streaming into the kitchen and lounge in the morning, with coffee on the verandah very relaxing. John is a great host who respects your privacy.

Mallacoota magnificent views

Tha most beautiful sun rises over the bottom lake you wont be disappointed. Lovely place to stay in Mallacoota lots of birds & kangaroos in the fields you overlook.

Delightful

To-die-for views. Spacious, well equipped, very comfortable with fabulous kitchen bench tops, great outside decking and bbq area. Also great central location. Being so close to a walking track in the Croajingolong National Park was a bonus. Looking forward to returning later in the year if we can.

A little piece of paradise in East Gippsland.

If you want to wind down , chill out with in a great little community in a area with fabulous views , then this is the place .

Gorgeous outlook

Mobile contact with the owner was reliable and very handy considering the location and bushfire crises. No issues with the premises, certainly comfortable and clean. The deck area was great, the outlook and view over farmland and estuary was magnificent and I was told one of the best in the town. We were there for a week and it was gobsmacking every day. Lots of roos around so take it slow driving. The cbd is not burnt. Some houses are. The cbd has lovely cafes, bakery, butcher 2 supermarkets and 2 servos. All you need. Locals are pleased to see you, helpful and very friendly. Us three guys all took a liking to this house and the town. Highly recommended.

A Beautiful Location - Terrific Units - But

Very happy with accommodation and location. The dwellings are well stocked etc. There was little warning that you bring your own linen. Also marked down for being placed in wrong unit and after settling down had to move.

It was most unfortunate that the guest was assigned to the wrong unit. However there was some confusion upon him arriving a day early without warning. The desirability of guests bringing their own linen is highlighted in CAPITALS in the property description.
