Dalton House Blairgowrie


Récemment mise à jour, cette maison de plage est une escapade élégante parfaite sur un grand terrain.

La maison est situĂ©e au sommet de la dune de sable secondaire de Koonya Beach. Il repose sur 1500 mÂČ de terrain qui est principalement constituĂ© d'arbres indigĂšnes avec une grande surface gazonnĂ©e sur la colline. L'espace extĂ©rieur est vaste et possĂšde une grande terrasse au sommet de la colline, idĂ©ale pour se dĂ©tendre.

Il y a des vues sur les dunes de sable au sud et d'autres vues au nord et Ă  l'ouest. Vous pouvez vraiment sentir le temps qu'il fait dans cette maison.

L'intérieur de la maison a une belle salle à manger et un salon avec les deux chambres ayant des salles de bains. Il y a une trÚs petite salle de télévision. Il y a aussi une chambre avec lits superposés en bas des escaliers pour débordement.

La maison a été construite par un ingénieur de Melbourne en 1968 et est trÚs solide et bien entretenue. Au début des années 90, ils s'agrandissent et mettent en place la chambre principale. La chambre est immense.
Nous avons un climatiseur, mais comme la maison est au sommet de la colline, le flux d'air est excellent et nous ne l'avons utilisé que quelques fois. Il y a des ventilateurs de plafond dans les chambres.

Il y a un radiateur dans la piÚce principale qui est intéressant à regarder. C'est un appareil de chauffage à gaz à foyer factice. C'est un radiateur de craquage. Super en hiver.

Idéalement, cet endroit est idéal pour les couples qui aiment se divertir, se promener et passer du temps en plein air. Pas terrible si vous voulez regarder la télé tout le week-end!

Lovely house in great location

We had a great long weekend at Southern Sand. It is only a short walk to the front beach and beautiful sunsets. Well equipped house with many outdoor areas to enjoy.

Great place to stay

My family and I really enjoyed this house. It was very nice inside with two big bedrooms (and one smaller one). Outside there were different areas to enjoy the day at different times - we especially enjoyed the fire pit at night. The backyard was good for the dog and the beach and general store were within walking distance. Highly recommend this place.

An older jewel in the crown of blairgowrie. Location to back beach is excellent. House has everything l needed. Property has various outdoor sitting areas and fire pit. Outside shower to wash the sand off. Rear yard is fully fenced for your pet. Quiet area.

Perfect beach shack

Southern Sand is a reasonably basic beach shack which was perfect for our family Christmas. The owner was communicative and it was exactly the type of house and location we were after. The garden is beautiful and sunset drinks looking towards the back beach were a pleasure from the deck in the back yard. Thanks Diana!

A fantastic beach shack!

We left it late to book this summer, so were delighted when we found this property. It ticked every box, right down to being pet friendly (gated deck so our Beaglier was safely contained), and actually exceeded expectations with the outside areas, where we were spoilt for choice. The brand new outdoor setting on the top of the dune was perfect for sunset beverages amongst the tea trees, and the fire pit was great for toasting marshmallows with our 15yo and her friend. The kitchen was equipped with all that we needed (aside from the coffee machine, which had been swiped by a previous tenant... seriously people, treat these homes with more respect!) Diana was super responsive and very helpful with my queries. If you are fine with waking early - the curtains are not block out - this is a wonderful house! Five minutes drive to Sorrento main street, three minute drive to the fab Sailing Club beach. You can hear the waves of the back beach as you fall asleep. We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Diana's home, and look forward to booking it again.

The location was great and the house was ok except it needed a good clean.

We would not stay at the property again as it seemed expensive for a house that needed cleaning, and there seemed a lack of generosity in what was supplied. There was a virtually empty soap bottle, one toilet roll, near empty dishwashing liquid, the oven was so dirty I didn’t use it. It’s a shame as the location is great and the furnishings are nice. We were given the wrong key code for the lock box. It just felt that there was a lack of care.

Lovely stay

What a stunning property the pictures don’t do it justice. Gorgeous interiors and stunning outdoor space perched o a hil with gorgeous views for sun set. We went as a family with my two year old ans it was great perfect location also close to beach and shops/cafes of Sorrento and Blairgowrie . Would highly recommend!

Nice place

Property is lovely, bathrooms are not shown in photos - they are a little old. Home was pretty, but a little dusty and dirty. Small attention to detail was the only let down, windows left open so we arrived to lots of mozzies inside and the power in the main bedroom/bathroom was not working. I would stay here again as those small things are fixable. Look forward to seeing the finished product of the downstairs lounge and the reno of the bathrooms.

Not exactly what we expected.

Although all the facilities and amenities were satisfactory, however, the cleanliness of the property was disappointing. We spent the first 30 minutes wiping down the kitchen, dining table and chairs and other necessities. The carpet was dirty, the fans full of dust (and not turned on) and dead flies in many areas. This was disappointing because the house is good, but this aspect of our stay left a lot to be desired.

Relaxing retreat

My partner and I were down for a couple of nights and loved our stay. The house was beautiful and open with a lot of natural light. It was clean and beautifully styled, the fresh trimmings from the garden was a lovely touch. There is different deck areas around the house, each one perfect for different times of the day and depending on which way the wind is blowing. We ate breakfast out on the balcony and had a cheese board outside in the garden with the lovely sea breeze. The bedding and linen is gorgeously soft (seriously I want those pillows). The location is very close to the beach and some lovely walking trails and a short drive to the bayside and town. The house is beautifully hidden away in nature so it is very peaceful yet you still get a lovely view. The bathrooms are a bit dated but large in size with great water pressure. Diana was easy to deal with and I would definitely stay again!

Nice accommodation. Clean and spacious. Multiple decks to sit on in the shade or sun, to read a book, have a bite to eat, sit out for a few drinks. Kitchen had all the necessities. Nice location close to cafes, beaches, walls, but far enough away that there is plenty of peace and quite. Very much enjoyed our stay. Definitely an option to return to next time we head down that way

Charm and peaceful surrounds

The house has a wonderful open, beachy feel. There are very comfortable, large bedrooms, and the bedding and linen are superb giving us a very restful sleep. The location is fantastic with lovely views and nice outdoor seating both on the front balcony as well as on the decking in the backyard. The lawn area out the back was perfect for playing with our daughter and watching the sunset. We had a very relaxed and enjoyable stay and we hope to return. Phil - Melbourne

Beautiful Cosy Home

Dalton House is a beautiful home, located within walking distance of the back beach in Blairgowrie and only a short car ride to the other peninsula towns. The house is quiet and a great hideaway. It is beautifully presented, has all the amenities you will need and has a lovely back garden with good views of the rolling hills. Diana the host was very quick to respond to queries and made our stay over the Christmas weekend a very special one for a group of Brits who were away from home. Thank you for having us stay, we want to come back already!
