Wow! Sweeping views. Luxurious, light and spacious house. Great walks… and comfy bed. Thanks M & A.

Marta and Anthony's home put Merrijig on the map! I enjoyed sitting on the wide verandah and watching the different weather patterns move past the 270 degree, panoramic string of hills. Truly relaxing. The beds were comfy and the whole house was luxurious. The light and spacious feeling I got made me think that I was at a resort – very therapeutic. My visit to the famous Craig’s Hut and neighbouring historic towns made their property a great location (and that’s not even factoring in the snow fields). I also went on several walks which really let me take in the character of the area. With the ability to comfortably sleep 14, I will have no hesitation to recommend it to booking it for future get-togethers with a large group of friends I have. Thanks Marta and Anthony for such a wonderful and memorable stay.

Amazing!

The property and setup at Wild Dog Rise was absolutely amazing. There was more than enough room for 12 Adult guests on the property, everybody was in awe when the group opened up the doors to the accomodation, the view was incredible also. Marta was easily contactable and on many occasions went above and beyond for the group over the weekend helping us with ideas on places to dine to helping us with a luggage situation on the last day of our stay. I couldn’t recommend this accomodation more!!

You were a delightful group who looked after our property like it was your own home and left it spotlessly neat and tidy. Beautiful home - perfect escape

We had a wonderful time at this property. The home had all the amenities you could want. The fire was brilliant and the house spacious. 2 large families had plenty of room. The sunsets and wildlife was a bonus. The views spectacular and the outside fire pit where the kids could melt marshmallows and adults could sip on a nice red was the cherry on the cake! Loved our stay and would highly recommend this property.

This place is simply amazing, incredible views!!

We had an amazing time at Wild dog rise. These are just some of the reasons to consider this property as your next trip away. ....Huge house which is great for multiple families or a large group of friends. I’m a keen runner and there were some incredible running tracks where I was able to run through the woods observing the local deer in their natural environment. The property is situated close to the river but no moxzzies here No trip away during footy season unless we can watch our teams on TV , luckily Wild Dod Rise has a large TV and Foxtel Phone reception was great. We took a trip to Craig’s Hut, Mount Stirling and Mount Buller all in a day. The top of Buller is just a short 25 minute drive. We stopped in at the local Merrijig pub and enjoyed some fine local craft beer, a great local minimart and bottle shop are also only minutes away. This is not just a winter escape, it’s somewhere I’d recommend all year.

So Breathtaking and Relaxing

Unfortunately I only had one night in this amazing property. It was beautifully presented and very comfortable. I will certainly be back with lots of friends or family as it would be a great catch up and relaxation opportunity to spread out and really unwind. Also it is perfectly located, with beautiful uninterrupted mountain views in all directions and very close to both Mansfield and Mt Buller. The hosts are very knowledgeable and helpful about the local area. Can’t wait to return!
