2602 state park road Overall it’s a lovely property, but sadly dirty and not well maintained.We reached out to the property management company and they never returned our calls. Many of the showers and sinks were clogged, not much fun standing in dirty water trying to shower and the kitchen sink backed up. This was also highlighted on prior reviews. Stairs were covers in a large amount of dirt.Washing machine had wet towels in it. Bunk bed in basement was not made properly. Top bed had no sheets on it Unable to use the Fire pit, it looked like the chairs had been vandalized. Chairs were broken and unusable. Decided we would use the gas fire instead, that didn’t work, thought let’s use the gas fire on the deck that also didn’t work. Hot tub was great but cover disgusting.

The photos of the property are completely misleading. There is no actual land or “yard” around the house. Everything pictured is down a flight of steps and across the road. The property is not lake front, it is lake adjacent. The interior needs a definite dose of TLC and the carpets desperately need cleaned. The fireplace was one of the main reasons that we chose the place, it ran out of propane 5 minutes after lighting it the first night and even with the tank filled, we could not get it to work all weekend. The host sent someone to look at it who tried the same thing we did with the same results, it would work for 5 minutes and shut off. We decided not to have a maintenance person working on the fireplace in the middle of our family weekend so we just did without. I would not rent the place again, nor would I recommend it.

The photos of the property were older as the property was not as photo'd. Alot of wear and tear that wasn't apparent in the listing. Driveway was also an issue- very steep and slippery gravel - but manageable. We experienced no internet throughout the stay that The property management company didn't resolve, TV wasn't working either , although that was resolved by late Friday. Grill was trashed and no propane in it, trash around property ( old pool inflatables just thrown on deck) Dock area also had trash left by others.

The property had all the advertised amenities

The advertised amenities were great. Location was perfect. There could have been a little more cleaning like the couch smelled of urine and the hot tub seemed to need a little extra care. Great supplies for the kids... Toys books etc. all in all we enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again.

Bachelor Trip

The place worked great for a long weekend bachelor party. The pool table and hot tub kept us busy on rainy days. Unfortunately two of the four showers didn’t drain properly and would puddle up with water. Overall we had some great moments and would rent here again.

Family Trip

Overall the house was wonderful and perfect fit for our family. The docks weren’t in which made fishing a little difficult, but it does say not guaranteed until Memorial Day. The house wasn’t the cleanest. The hot tub was cold, but that didn’t bother us because the adults didn’t want to use it. The location was amazing and so were the views!

Worst place ever

the pictures doesn't look at all as what you see in person, place has mold on first floor espicially in last bedroom and bathroom, this place is not coded, 3rd floor has a water leak from ceiling, the bedroom door was off hinge and almost hit me in my head, Patios was dirty. The front door lock wasnt working. This is the worst place i ever seen in my life and i would never ever going to rent from vrbo again

Fun weekend with friends

We enjoyed our weekend getaway here. The house had plenty of space for our group of 10 and we enjoyed the hot tub, big kitchen and dining room table, and the firepit area and dock for fishing! House could use some sprucing up (fresh paint, etc.) but overall it was awesome! Thank you!

Great vacation property

Beautiful property, ample space for our group, all the bedrooms and bathrooms were neat and tidy and everything in the house was in great condition. Couple of suggestions - add more silverware in the kitchen and look into the hot tub temperature. We couldn't enjoy the hot tub as the water was not hot enough, it was just about warm and wouldn't heat up anymore.

Very Clean and Accommodating

The overall experience was great. Very spacious, clean, and inviting. I booked this house for my sisters bachelorette weekend. Although it rained the entire time there was a lot to do and all had a great time. The views and scenery were beautiful. The communication with the property owners was wonderful, there were not issues at all.

Beautiful and quiet

We had a great day for my wife's birthday with two families worth of friends. All 13 of us had places to sleep. The amenities were nice and the location was perfect. The mattresses that I slept on was pretty old and was sunken in from use. Also, don't try to sleep in the rooms on the first floor If you are the first to bed. You can hear every footfall. Choose your level according to your desired climate. 1st floor: Arctic Sleepers 2nd floor: Temperate Sleepers 3rd floor: Jungle Heat. These things didn't affect our stay, they are just things to know. We had a great time and would recommend the cabin to anyone.with a bigger group.

Very disappointed

This is the second time we have rented at DC and will most likely be the last. While the management company was responsive with all of our issues, I question why we should have had issues in the first place. The hot tub was disgusting which was unfortunate since having a hot tub was a major item I looked for in the listing. When the mechanic came to fix he was none to happy with the management company and told us we should definitely ask for money back. It was freezing and the house had NO blankets. After the first night we called and blankets were sent over - this was in January!. The first floor of the house where my son, daughter in law and 3 grandchildren stayed had no heat. It was freezing and we never were able to get heat to come on. The top floor where my daughter, son in law and 2 grandchildren was sweltering whenever we had the fire place on. You had to take the fireplace apart to turn it on which was totally weird. Lastly the house itself was filled to the brim inside and out with junk and was less than clean. We paid top dollar for 4 nights, surely this is wrong.

Family outing at Bearadise

This is a nice property but unfortunately the maintenance of the property is not managed very well. We had to take photos of things that were broken upon our arrival. Also, a sewage pipe under one of the sinks was broken and there was a fowl smell in the home when we arrived, maintenance did come to repair the pipe, but the other broken items should have been repaired before our arrival. Animal hair was left on the carpets and because of the previous reviews we saw, the property was contacted and they assured us the property would be properly cleaned. Other than that we made the best of our stay.

Poorly maintained

A beautiful property but very poorly maintained. Mouse droppings, debris, electrical poor hot tub continued to trip breakers, wires dangling from roof, shower in basement clogged drain and slimy tile,, coffee left in coffee pot from previous renters and balloons and decorations. We so wanted to love it, but just felt dirty. A little maintenance would go a long way and proper housekeeping.

Beautiful cabin

Stayed at this cabin with 3 families. It is beautiful and spacious. The location is great, lake front and close to Wisp. Gorgeous view of the lake. The beds were all great and there was plenty of space for our big crew. We would definitely stay here again!

GREAT HOUSE

Very convenient to WISP resort where we skied. Great layout with plenty of room for all of us. Bedrooms were a nice size. We loved the open concept downstairs with the kitchen, living room and dining area.

Winter getaway

Perfect location with quick easy access to ski slopes and hiking trails. The house had enough sleeping space for my family and my sisters family. The kitchen was well equipped for us to prepare big meals for everyone.

Family Christmas mini vacation

We had 2 houses not far from each other. We just wanted to spend Christmas together and with Covid we thought this would be the best and safe way to go. Everybody gotta tested before coming. It was a great family experience, creating memories and building healthy loving relationships is the goal. Therefore being in a huge house where there’s plenty of space, outside is open and available for activities this was perfect at a time like this. We had a Covid free great mini mini Christmas vacation (3 days) 23-26. Side bar its a lot of steps tho.

Quick Family Getaway

My family enjoyed our getaway which was the first time in over a year that we got to spend some leisurely time together. It rained the majority of time but the property was comfortable and spacious so we were able to enjoy ourselves indoors without feeling confined. Loved the private pier, quick access to the water, and nearby hiking trails. Also loved that it was pet friendly so we could bring the pups who had a great time.
